G-NetTrack is a netmonitor and drive test application for 5G/4G/3G/2G (NR/LTE/UMTS/GSM/CDMA/EVDO) radio network. It allows monitoring of mobile network serving and neighbor cells information without using specialized equipment. It's a tool and it's a toy. It can be used by professionals to get better insight on the network or by radio enthusiasts to learn more about wireless networks.
G-NetTrack Lite is a free version of G-NetTrack Pro
If you find the app too complicated you can try more basic app G-NetSignal
The app uses runtime permissions. Grant needed permissions in Menu - App permissions in order to use all app features. !!!
Important for users with Android 9: Turn ON location services on your phone in order for the app to work normally.
The app measures level, quality and frequency (Android 7) for serving and neighbor cells. Only for 4G also SNR, CQI and timing advance are monitored.
LEVEL, QUAL and CI depend on technology:
- 2G - RXLEVEL, RXQUAL and BSIC
- 3G - RSCP, ECNO and PSC
- 4G - RSRP, RSRQ and PCI
- 5G - RSRP, RSRQ and PCI
Log mode - When logging is started the app stays active while in the background in order to measure correct data and location.
G-NETTRACK PRO - Pro version with many more additional features
- 2G/3G/4G/5G serving and neighbor cells information measurement
- Record measurements in logfiles (text and kml format)
- Cellfile import/export and sites and serving and neighbor cells lines visualization on the map
- Predefined routes load
- Voice test sequence
- Data (upload, download, ping) test sequence
- SMS test sequence
- Mixed Data/Voice/SMS sequence
- Bluetooth control of multiple phones
- G-NetWiFI control
- Cells scan
- Multithread upload and download
- Chart with serving and neighbor cells levels
- Barometer usage for height determination
- Unlimited number of cell layers and custom cell colors

"G-NetTrack Lite" is an application that shows the signal status
To make using your smartphone more enjoyable and comfortable, use apps. In this corner, the editorial department has carefully selected from among the seasonal apps that appear one after another, and introduces the "Teppan" apps that are a must-have for smartphone users!
It is said that there are still few areas where high-speed, low-latency 5G networks can be used. Is that really the case? Maybe you already have 5G signals around your home or workplace. Let's check it out with "G-NetTrack Lite" right away.
Plot incoming radio wave information on a map
"G-NetTrack Lite" is a tool that allows you to know the signal status of the mobile network and various information in detail. Among the radio waves that can be received by the smartphone you are using, the status of the radio waves that are actually flying around you is displayed in real time.
The screen is divided into five tabs, and you can display the carrier and strength of the currently received radio waves, the type of network such as 3G / 4G / 5G, and other information on the radio waves that can be received. However, the "Map" tab seems to be the most useful. In this tab, the information of the currently received radio waves is plotted on a map.
You can see where you can connect with 5G and where LTE radio waves are strong.
For example, if you select "Technology" from the pull-down at the bottom of the screen in the "Map" tab, colored dots will be plotted in your current location according to the type of network your smartphone is connected to. If it's connected to 4G, it's green, and if it's connected to 5G, it's a purple dot.
If you move around in this state, the type of network at that location will be recorded sequentially, and you will be able to visualize which network is connected to which location on the map. By moving around with the app running, you should be able to figure out which network you are connected to near your home, workplace, or on your commute route.
If you select "Signal Intensity" from the pull-down, it will plot in color according to the strength of the radio wave. Even in areas where only 4G (LTE) signals are still available, it can help you discover places where you can communicate faster or where it is difficult to communicate. You may not have to panic when you suddenly need to send and receive web conferences or large files.

IMPORTANT: Measurements capability depends on the phone.
If your phone manufacturer has not implemented correctly needed functions for reporting there is still hope. Try this:
1.Go to Settings - Calibration and check 'Use old functions' for serving and neighbor cells.
2.Go to Settings - Calibration and check 'Force updates'.
3.If nothing above helps you have to update your phone software or wait for such an update if it is not available at the moment.
