Connect your watch

The following instructions will help you connect your watch to your phone.

1. Turn on your watch by pressing and holding the Home key, and then navigate to and open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone. If you haven't installed the app, you can do so from the Galaxy Store or Play Store on Android devices.

2. Next, select your device from the list and follow the prompts to complete the setup. You will be prompted to sign into your Samsung account and your Google Account if you have not done so already.

3. It doesn't stop with connecting to a phone, though! You can pair bluetooth headphones and listen to music or take calls on an LTE watch.

4. Once your watch and phone are connected via the Galaxy Wearable app, you may be prompted to download compatible apps. For instance, you can use the Strava app or the adidas Running app to track your fitness progress!

5. If you have any difficulty getting connected, check out our connection guide for help.

So imagine, your device only ever connects once when you first set it up. But after that, no matter what you try, it just won't connect to your watch again. You've reset your watch many times but the problem persists. It's frustrating and really hard to deal with.

So, I keep getting these strange pairing requests on my phone every few days, but they vanish instantly. Then I see this notification telling me to give permission for the Galaxy Watch4 plugin to access my notifications for watch alerts. However, the thing is, notifications are already permitted. After that, the Galaxy Wearable app seems to forget that my watch was ever paired, and the only way to fix it is by resetting the watch and reinstalling everything. It's super frustrating, even though I have a backup. Samsung Support has been no help at all, and after facing these issues for 6 months, there's still no solution in sight.

I have a Galaxy Watch 4 and a Pixel 7 Pro. They work well together, but I've noticed a strange issue. Whenever I receive a call, the watch shows "Emergency Call" instead of the caller's name. Both devices are connected to LTE and each other. I'm not sure what's causing this problem. Apart from that, everything else works perfectly.

Let me retell your message. The problem has not been resolved yet. Users are facing trouble with the app opening unexpectedly and then disappearing, leaving a notification that it's still open. When clicked, there's nothing visible. Closing the notification and the app doesn't help as it quickly reappears, disrupting the current task repeatedly in a short period of time. This issue seems to have persisted for months without a solution.

Everything was going smoothly until recently. Now, out of nowhere, the app starts flashing on my phone screen while I am using it. It's quite odd and I can't figure out what triggers it to pop up. For instance, I could be in the middle of taking a photo, and then all of a sudden, my screen flashes to this app and then back to my camera app.

I can't update my watch anymore. It's been weeks now. **Edit**: The "fix" you suggested to make the watch work does absolutely nothing. I finally found out how to make the watch work again without Samsung's help. I reset the watch completely, uninstalled all the Samsung apps, and then reinstalled everything as it was when I first got the watch. After that, I went to the app store and turned off auto updates for both the Samsung apps and plugins. I will wait until they release another update to make sure it actually works.

I have two devices and the wearable app works really well with both. I have no complaints at all. Way to go! 😄👍

Getting an update fix for this issue can take time. It seems that since updating your watch 4 to the new UI, a certain app keeps opening for a brief moment, interrupting whatever you are doing. This is very frustrating, and unfortunately, you are unable to determine the cause of the problem. After the app opens and closes quickly, it appears in the recent apps tab, but you can't interact with it from there.

Oh no, the Samsung wearable app for the Watch 4 isn't compatible with the IQOO7. I can't find it in the Play Store at all. It's frustrating because Samsung claims the Watch 4 works with all Android devices. I paid a lot for this watch and now I have to deal with this issue. I might have to return the watch. There's a plugin available for download, but it's useless without the main wearable app. Can you get back to me on this?
