GeForce NOW for SHIELD TV - Game streaming service

Avoid purchasing the Nvidia Shield TV box. I got it with two gamepad controllers, but there are barely any free games to enjoy. The Android games available are not very entertaining. The Nvidia app consistently sends you to third-party apps. It's quite frustrating. I recommend investing in a proper game console instead. Don't waste your money like I did.

I eagerly anticipate Discord's arrival on Android TV and Nvidia Shield. It would be great to have microphone support and additional settings for GeForce Now on the Nvidia Shield. I find it frustrating not being able to select my mic or adjust it. Despite these limitations, I must say that overall, you all are doing fantastic work, and GeForce Now is truly remarkable.

It was once truly amazing, but now it has removed important features, made the user interface worse, and put everything behind a paywall. The Shield is now just a shell of its former self. An expensive streaming device that is no longer worth it.

I was so excited when I purchased a pricey device, hoping for top-notch performance and lots of options for personalization. But to my dismay, the home screen was littered with ads, and the Android TV experience was just average. On the bright side, I must admit that it is lightning fast.

I jumped onboard the service right at the start and instantly signed up. There were always some pesky problems like having to sign in to Steam every time I wanted to play a game, which was quite bothersome, but I managed to get used to it. Lately though, things have gotten really bad. The network check tool kept showing me the same issue. The high latency during peak hours made playing any game impossible, as they will definitely let you know. Originally, I saw this service as a way to avoid buying a fancy gaming setup. I'm not really into intense PvP gaming anyways, so I could handle the slightly slower response times. But now, this is unacceptable. I get that more people are online during peak hours due to the quarantine, but I don't think it's too much to ask for decent gameplay when that's when I want to enjoy my games. The app just doesn’t cut it anymore. Please, make it work or give us a way to adjust input lag like PC users can do on Android.

Nvidia, big thanks for hearing us out! You've fixed that annoying onscreen menu on Shield Portable. It's great to know you remember us OG users. Keep up the good work; nothing else comes close to what you've done with the Portable.

Oh man, I was finally able to sort out my issue with the controllers, but now dealing with all these bugs is just getting on my nerves. And then having to wait an hour and a half just to play three rounds of Fortnite? It's just too much.

So, I've completely stopped using my Shield since we switched to Android TV. The huge banner ad is just too much and really not cool at all.
