Tactical Map

Girls' Frontline

The battlefield itself consists of the Command Post, nodes, node lines, random event nodes and heliports. In order to start the mission, the player should deploy an echelon at the Command Post.

After deploying the echelon on the Command Post, the player is provided with 2 Action Points. When moving an echelon to another node, 1 Action Point will be consumed and if the player runs out of Action Points, the player cannot move the echelon until the next turn. The main goal on the battlefield is to recapture an enemy-captured Command Post. In order to gain Action Points, the player should capture a heliport and deploy another echelon on it. Every heliport capturing or echelon deployment will grant 1 Action Point after the player ends the turn. Another echelon deployment will consume 1 Action Point.

After the turn ends, the enemy on battlefield should stay or move to a different node, depending on the map itself. The enemy will move in a random direction and only has 1 Action Point. A battle will occur if the player moves an echelon to an enemy-captured node.

The player should recapture any enemy-captured heliports, as in several maps the heliports will deploy enemy forces and begin to capture other nodes. The mission is considered a failure if either of 2 events occur: The enemy captures the player's Command Post, or the player's last echelon is wiped out.

Combat

Girls' Frontline

If the player moves to an enemy node, a battle will occur. The player's echelon will be placed on the left side of the screen, while the enemy forces are on the right side of screen. As enemy forces will approach towards the player's echelon, the player's task is get rid of them in order to win the battle. Each of the player's echelon and enemy forces have an HP bar on their top. If one of the player's T-dolls are badly damaged, the damaged T-dolls will retreat or stay on the battle. And if one of the T-dolls are terminated on the battle, she cannot participate in the next battle unless the player uses an emergency repair in a heliport or the Command Post.

The battle will be a failure if the enemy wipes out all of the player's T-dolls or if one of the enemies moves to empty tiles which are unprotected by T-dolls, and proceeds to move beyond.

Girls' Frontline

During battle, player can drag the corresponding T-dolls to another formation tiles. This is very useful in order to swap a position of damaged T-dolls, or fill the empty tile to prevent enemy from approaching the beyond of formation tiles. In rare occasion, swapping T-dolls to another tile are very useful in order to avoid heavy enemy or enemy boss projectile. If the player activate 'bullet time' on settings menu, the time will be slowed down when dragging a T-dolls to another tile.

Girls' Frontline

Every T-Doll carries some amount of rations and ammunition. A fully supplied T-Doll carries 10 units of rations and 5 units of ammunition. The amount of rations and ammunition carried by the T-Dolls in a squad is displayed on the map. If the T-Dolls in the squad carry differing quantities of supplies, the amount of ammunition and rations carried by the T-Doll with the least of each will be displayed.

Girls' Frontline

An echelon will consume 1 bar of ration after the end of the turn, and during the battle it consumes 1 ration and 1 ammo. The echelon can still move to another node when running out of ammo, however they can't attack the enemy forces when approaching the enemy nodes. Resupplying at heliport or Command Post is mandatory.

Repair and Resupply

Like any real military unit, T-doll echelons need to be resupplied regularly in order to fight, thus makes knowing how to resupply a vital skill. By default, echelons will automatically resupply when standing on a captured helipad. However, players can (and are usually recommended to) disable "Auto-resupply" option in Settings and do manual resupply instead. To do this, follow these steps:

Girls' Frontline

Relocate your echelon to HQ or a captured helipad

Double tap on the said echelon. The Resupply menu will pop up, as shown in this picture.

Follow the instructions in the picture.

I started playing GFL when it came out in English, and it's the main Gacha game I play. I've got a lot of experience with it, although I wouldn't call myself an expert. To be straight with you, GFL is easy to get into but there's still a learning curve that might put some people off. As you advance in the game, it becomes less casual-friendly, but the rewards you can earn are definitely worth the effort in my opinion. But let me tell you, where this game really excels is in its story. It's dark without being overly grim, and it keeps you hooked, always wanting to know what happens next.

Your game used to run smoothly, but now it just keeps crashing each time I try logging in. I attempted clearing data, uninstalling it; nothing worked. I've been hooked on this game for six months. Even though it's a bit "old," it's fantastic! The art style, the music, the gameplay, it's like a puzzle game, but so much better. Please, fix it. Edit: Alright, never mind. Somehow, I managed to resolve the problem after two days. Phew! Instant five stars from me.

I really love this game! I usually get bored of games quickly, but this one has me hooked. The art is stunning, the combat is strategic and fun, and there's always something new to do like events, chasing costumes, or getting new characters. It's an awesome game that I can't recommend enough.

The game got a fancy new update that supports 60fps, and it looks stunning! But whenever I try to play for a while on my Galaxy Note 10, the app suddenly starts scanning my memory. This causes it to be shut down by the operating system. It's frustrating because I can browse menus without any issues, but as soon as I attempt to start a mission, the memory scanning begins and the app gets forcibly closed. I hope this issue gets resolved soon, as I really want to enjoy playing the game properly. Once this problem is fixed, I'll update my review accordingly.

The game is really cool because you need to think ahead and plan your moves. The story is interesting too. It takes a bit of time to level up, but if you keep playing, it will get faster. You don't have to spend money to win, except for skins or dorm items. The menus are easy to understand, and after a few hours, you'll know what everything does. The developers give you a good amount of in-game currency, so you usually don't need to buy more. Sometimes I didn't have to use in-game money for skins unless I missed an event.

So, honest to goodness, I figured this game was just your typical anime stuff and I'd bail on it after a quick try. Turns out, that's not the deal. The planning needed to set up your team for tackling missions is pretty cool and you gotta mix and match units to support each other effectively. Now, about the whole thing where the characters' outfits rip off for fanservice... uh, it's a bit over the top, but whatever. 100% recommend giving it a shot!

Sure, I'm having a lot of problems with storage space. I wish we could have a PC version of the game. This game is even larger than Blue Archive, which is a 3D game. I've been playing since 2019 when the Deep Dive story event first came out.

So, you won't believe this, but I first got this game just for fun as a joke, right? But guess what? I ended up getting super hooked on it and, here's the kicker, I even ended up spending some money on it. Crazy, right? The best part is that you don't really have to make those in-app purchases to keep playing and progressing, which is pretty cool if you ask me. Plus, there are hardly any annoying ads or bugs to deal with, which is a huge relief. Now, let me tell you about the gameplay - it's seriously so much fun and it's super addictive. But here's the thing: this game doesn't spoon-feed you with easy challenges. You actually have to work for your progress, which I kind of like. And the story in the game? Man, it's so interesting and keeps you engaged. The only downside for me is that it can be a bit hard to get Gems without having to spend money on them. But hey, that could just be me being a bit picky, you know. Overall, though, I have to say, this game is really good.

The recent update messed up the game once more. Every time I attempt to log in, it either crashes or freezes. It's still not resolved, and Mica hasn't replied. My phone keeps saying the app doesn't work on the newest Android version. It's been around six months and there's still no solution. How could this persist for so long? How is it acceptable? I'm starting to wonder if legal action against the company is possible. For at least half a year now, I've been unable to get past the login screen without the game freezing on Android.
