How to cancel a Glovo order on Android

Canceling a Glovo order is almost as easy as placing one. Please note that the ordering process is transparent and clear. You choose a store or establishment, select the products you want, go to the shopping cart, and confirm the purchase, the address, and that you are of legal age.

Once you have placed your Glovo order, you can cancel it until it is delivered. Depending on the stage of the delivery process, you will have to pay different fees depending on whether the order has been accepted by the store, if a delivery person has been assigned, and if the product is being transported, among others. We will show you all the possible cases in the following section.

The option to cancel your order is easy to access.

Tap on your Glovo user icon in the upper left corner of the app.

Select the Your orders option. There, you will see the active and the most recent orders.

You will also see Your orders by tapping the list icon on the main screen.

Open the order you have active or in progress.

Depending on the stage of the order, you will see the Cancel Glovo button. Tap it to cancel the order.

For security reasons, you must confirm that you are canceling the order.

In Your Orders, you will see the order with the Canceled label.

If the order is being handled, you will not see the Cancel Glovo button. Instead, you will have the option to contact the store if the order is already being prepared or contact the delivery person if it has already been assigned. In both cases, contact is made through a text chat integrated into the application. Following these steps, you can request a cancellation, return the product if it is not food, or change the food or product you ordered.

Who are the couriers?

Couriers are independent professionals connected to our platform. Together with a smartphone and their own vehicle, they're eager to help you with your tasks as quickly and effectively as possible.

How much does delivery cost?

The price of our service is optimized by distance, so the closer it is, the cheaper it is.

If you use the "Courier” category, the app calculates the distance between the pick-up point and delivery address and only shows the total delivery cost.

If you’re ordering from one of the stores available on the app, you can see the item’s price beforehand. There will be a pre-established delivery cost depending on our agreement with the store in question, which you can see by clicking on the store. So before you confirm the order, you’ll know the total cost of the service.

Occasionally, the price of the product may differ to what is shown on the app. If the price difference is less than 30%, Glovo will automatically proceed to buy the products for you. You'll be able to see the updated price once the courier uploads the receipt of the purchase. However, if the difference in price is over 30%, the courier will contact you to ask if you’d still like to proceed with the purchase. (For night deliveries, there might be an extra service charge applied to each item’s price. The amount applied depends on the city and store, and you’ll see this surcharge when you’re at the checkout stage in the app.)

When is Glovo open?

Many cities in which Glovo operates offer a 24/7 service. However, all stores have their own schedule so they might be closed despite Glovo being available. To guide you, open stores have a full colour picture whereas closed ones are in gray.

What type of vehicles do couriers use for delivery? How big can my orders be?

Our couriers use motorcycles or bikes so they can carry whatever you want, as long as it’s under 9 kg in weight (3-4 shopping bags in volume) and fits in a box sized 40x40x30 cm. Glovo is happy to transport anything you need bearing these dimensions in mind.

    The app is super user-friendly and it's a breeze to navigate through the menu. The delivery times are usually spot on as well. There's a wide variety of restaurants to choose from, and the food is typically fresh and hot when it arrives. Definitely a top recommendation, especially during these pandemic times! Haha!

    I'm really pleased with the service overall. I hardly ever had any problems with the delivery people, and on the few occasions when I did, the customer service was great, and they compensated me for the inconvenience. There were also times when my order had to be changed due to restaurant inventory issues, but they let me know and adjusted the price accordingly. I plan to continue using Glovo as long as they keep up this level of service :)

    Oh no, the service I received was absolutely terrible. I decided to order groceries from a supermarket and they indicated that they were preparing my order for two hours. However, when the delivery person arrived to pick it up, they had to actually gather all the items themselves. To make matters worse, half of the items that I selected were not even available at the store. I strongly advise against using this app as it will only lead to disappointment.

    Good news! They have finally started including a percentage tip for the couriers. It was strange to place an order for 300 złotych and only give a 12 złotych tip. It's also good to hear that the payment issues have been resolved. In the past, there were occasional payment problems such as loops or needing card approval, but generally, I didn't face many issues. I've reached out to support a few times, and they were always friendly and helpful. Despite reading negative comments, I personally use Glovo frequently as they offer a great service with plenty of options to choose from.

    I just tried out this new app and I have to say, it's pretty cool! The layout is nice and I really like how you can track your order. My food showed up still hot and tasty, and I only had to wait about 20 minutes from the moment I hit "order." That's way better than the usual hour-long waits I get with other apps, so I'm super happy about that. Plus, there's this promo code feature which is awesome for scoring discounts. Definitely gonna be using this app again!

    I had a bad experience with Glovo. When I placed my order, the app automatically selected "collection" as the delivery option based on my previous orders, which I didn't want. I tried to change it but couldn't. To make matters worse, the restaurant decided to deliver the food themselves, and it ended up taking 2 whole hours for my Indian food to arrive because they were busy. This will definitely be the final time I use this platform. They seriously need to improve their user experience because it's just terrible.

    I've just spent 7 hours dealing with getting a refund for an incorrect order due to the app not providing all the necessary details to the delivery person. Unfortunately, the system doesn't allow me to exchange it for the correct item. The customer service was really frustrating throughout the process, which is why it took so long to resolve. I had to ask to speak to a manager in order to finally get it sorted out. This whole situation is just not acceptable.

    That app was a total disaster! So, the app had some major issues which caused me to believe that my payment hadn't gone through. But guess what? It actually duplicated my order. Can you believe that? When I tried reaching out to their customer service chat to request a refund, I had to go through 4 different people before finally being told that getting a refund wasn't an option at all! That's just ridiculous, especially since I've been a loyal customer for years and never even needed a refund before. And to make matters worse, in my country, there isn't even a phone number to call customer service - only email or chat. Definitely not something I'd recommend to anyone. Thankfully, there are plenty of other alternatives out there.
