Minialist God Simulator

Godville is a purely strategic god simulator with a very original starting point, and is that the game is a parody of the typical MMO. In this way, more than a game it offers us a zero-player game experience in which basically we will limit ourselves to see how the events develop.

Our role will be that of a deity whose mission is to motivate or stimulate our hero to embark on various adventures. To do this, we have three types of actions: encourage, punish or use our voice of God. However, the consequences of these actions will never be direct, so we cannot influence the story as such.

To follow the events we should read our hero's diary, where he writes down his adventures and thoughts in a humorous tone. In fact, the character will interpret our actions as he wishes and the results are unpredictable.

In addition, this minimalist role-playing game includes other options. For example, from the tabs on the top menu we can consult the inventory and equipment of our hero or the pantheon of world gods.

Without a doubt, this peculiar RPG offers us an alternative adventure with lots of spark that will make us have a good time without the need of some heart attack graphics or being hooked all day long. If we like the genre, it is worth having a look.

Fed up with games that demand your attention 24/7 just to avoid feeling inadequate? Godville is the solution! In this game, you play as a deity whose main task is to create your own hero who will manage all those tedious activities you used to handle in other games, such as battling monsters, gathering treasures, and accumulating gold, allowing you to focus on what truly matters in gaming - relaxing and having fun.

Godville is classified as a zero-player game (ZPG), satirizing everything from "standard" MMO games with their monotonous leveling systems to internet memes and daily life scenarios. While it may appear unusual at first glance, don't be quick to dismiss it. Spend some time observing your hero over the course of a few days, explore the surroundings, and you won’t regret it! There exists an entire game world within Godville that continuously evolves through the contributions and suggestions of its player community.

Reading those diary entries brings so much joy. Each entry shows growth and change. It feels rewarding to have a hand in shaping the story. Engaging in roleplay and text games adds an extra layer of fun. They create an escape where creativity flourishes. Anticipation builds every time I dive into those adventures! 😊

Wow! I never expected to enjoy this kind of game. Jumping into the hero's life at different moments feels exhilarating. I can just picture their excitement during a crucial healing moment. Seeing the hero making friends with other players' heroes adds such an immersive vibe.

This game stands out from the rest. It offers a refreshing break from endless grinding. Watching my hero grow and develop feels rewarding. Building a temple adds excitement to the experience. Encouraging him brings joy, while punishing him for mistakes adds stakes. Each choice impacts his progress. It's engaging and enjoyable.

This idle game really stands out! It’s built for players who want a laid-back experience. You collect resources without any heavy lifting. People can jump in with ease. But here’s the catch: you might find yourself wishing for more engagement. Keeping the app open feels tricky. You run out of things to do quickly. Sure, using your Godpower adds some fun, but it disappears fast, like water down the drain. You want something to keep the excitement flowing!

I've been "playing" this game on and off for years. I had a break after resetting my phone and didn’t reinstall it for a while. When I finally got around to it months later, I was surprised to find my hero still alive! Sometimes I get bored and don’t reinstall after a reset, but it’s nice knowing my hero keeps going strong without me. If puns bring you joy, definitely give this game a try. By the way, what happened to the graphics? This version looks so much worse than the Windows Phone version!

The game is great and super addictive. The gameplay hooks you right in. It could reach another level with a bit more influence over the hero's personality. Whether players want to shape him positively or negatively, that flexibility would enhance the experience. Imagine sending messages and triggering actions that really reflect your choices during battles or downtime. That kind of interaction would take the game to a whole new dimension of awesomeness.

This game is perfect for unwinding! I’ve enjoyed everything about it, but there’s a little hiccup. The review process for suggested ideas feels slow. One of my suggestions received 96 upvotes, yet here I am, four or five months later, still waiting for news on whether it will make the cut. I understand that votes don't guarantee action, but a little update from the developers would be awesome. Just a simple notification on the progress would make a difference. Otherwise, I really love this game! :)

This game really sticks to what it promises. It's not something you get lost in for hours on end unless the Godville community catches your interest! I’m unsure how to describe it in a review, but I find it quite entertaining to return to every now and then.

This game tells a story like no other. You can dive in for a quick session or spend hours lost in its world. It never stops flowing, keeping excitement alive. I can't get enough of it! Even now, the developers keep enhancing it, making it better and better. Many players stick around year after year. I've been here almost 11 years. It feels surreal, but it’s real. Playing this game is easy. Just pop in every so often to check on your character, and that’s it! Simple yet engaging. That’s what keeps me coming back.

I remember the first time I saw that this game plays itself. I thought, "Okay, maybe it’ll just do most of the work." But wow, it really does play itself the entire time. It’s been running for days now, and I’ve got a level 9 hero. My role? Just cheering or scolding. That’s it. I can’t dive in and take control. It feels more like scrolling through an app with quirky, random texts rather than an actual game. Definitely not my cup of tea.
