Google Go - Search fast & save

I really prefer this over "google" at the moment. What I love most is that the search bar is conveniently located at the bottom, which means less strain on my tiny thumb when scrolling (I'm using a tablet, by the way). It's user-friendly and all, except for that pesky lite feature, but generally quite nice... though sometimes it can be irritating, even though I've disabled it. There's a review below stating that having the search bar at the bottom doesn't make sense... well, news flash, you're mistaken. The speed isn't super fast, as it relies on the internet connection in the area.✋

I haven't really used this app much, but I have to say I'm impressed with how much storage it saves. My phone is quite low on storage and didn't come with Google pre-installed (it only had Chrome). When I tried to download Google, it was taking up way more space than I thought it would. Then I came across this app in the suggested section and decided to give it a try. It ended up using 110-200MB less storage compared to Google - what a great deal! Moreover, I find the app's interface much better than Google's. In my opinion, this app surpasses Google and I recommend choosing it over Google.

I personally find the Go version of the Google app better than the regular one. It works faster on my phone, doesn't hog up memory or use too much data like the normal app does. While it might be missing a few features present in the standard Google app (though I haven't really noticed a big difference), we have to remember that this is the Go version after all. One suggestion I have is to enhance the discover page. It doesn't seem to refresh as frequently as the regular Google app. Sometimes days pass by without any updates. Additionally, having a Chrome Go version would be fantastic!

This app is so awesome, I totally gave it 5 stars because it's just that good. But hey, there are a couple of things that could make it even better: Firstly, that search loading thing with the status bar is a bit horrible and annoying, right? It makes the whole user interface look not so great. It would be awesome if they could fix that. Secondly, it would be cool to have a setting where we can choose whether or not we want to see those popup lite version suggestions when websites load up.

This app is really frustrating. You can't turn off the annoying search sound that plays when you do a voice search because it's linked to the media volume setting. There's no way to set up the default search to just show web results, which would be more useful. The search results always show up at the bottom, which is confusing and irritating. I only installed this app to see if it's better than the regular Google app widget, which doesn't work properly half the time on multiple devices every day for months, even after each update.

You know what really bugs me? I can't believe they didn't introduce a Dark Mode when they launched this app all over the world. It's an awesome app, no doubt, but wouldn't it be amazing if we could personalize the "Discover" feed and have different voices for reading webpages aloud? And seriously, where's that Dark Mode everyone's been asking for? Come on, not all devices are going to get the Android 10 update. Overall, it's still a great app!

The search function on this app is kind of a mess. It's not giving me the right results and navigating it is a bit of a struggle. It would be great if you could improve it by adding quick access from our system apps, that way using it would be way more convenient. Oh, and it's frustrating that I can't copy the URL too. Plus, some difficult words don't show up in the search results at all. And how about adding a dark mode? That would make things so much easier on the eyes. Honestly, this app doesn't seem like something Google would come up with. It's just not living up to expectations. 😓
