Helpful ways you can use Google's versatile note-taking app

Take voice notes

Google Keep

You know how you can ask Google questions by tapping the microphone icon in the Chrome app? The same principle applies to Keep notes taken on your mobile device. Each voice note is automatically transcribed as you speak, making it easier to search for (especially if you frequently take advantage of the feature.)

Collaborate with coworkers

Google Keep

Tap the "hamburger" menu pictured and then tap "Collaborator" to add collaborators' email addresses; tap "Share" to copy the note to Google Docs or elsewhere.

You can add collaborators to your notes to quickly and easily get them in the loop about whatever you're working on, or if they need to complete action items. Completed items in a checklist, for example, automatically keeps everyone updated on the progress that's been made.

All you need to do is add their name and email address (or Google group), and you can always remove collaborators later on. Plus, you can easily transfer notes over to Google Docs via the "Send" feature pictured below (or via the "Copy to Google Docs" option on a desktop).

Set reminders

Google Keep

Add a time or place-based reminder for your note.

You can add reminders to each note, set those to repeat (if desired), or have one pop up when you get to a certain location by tapping "Remind Me" on the top right of a note. And each time-sensitive note will show up in your Google calendar, so that's another layer of cross-device compatibility.

So, here's the thing: I'm not exactly sure which update did it, but I've noticed that the search option on my device isn't working anymore. I tried to find a solution online and came across a suggestion where someone said switching back to the default keyboard might fix the issue. I gave it a shot, but unfortunately, the search function still refuses to cooperate. The thing is, in my opinion, the search feature should work no matter what keyboard you're using. It's just basic functionality, right?

I love using this note app because it's really awesome. The user interface is so nice and friendly, it just makes writing notes a pleasant experience. The only thing that bugs me a little is when I search for certain words, sometimes it doesn't perfectly highlight the exact text I need. It would be great if they could fix that. And it would also be cool if they could add features like changing the font size, checking word count, and even doing some grammar corrections. Apart from those small issues, I have to say, this app is absolutely fantastic!

This app is really cool! It can be used on different devices and it's perfect for taking quick notes and making lists. It works quickly, is easy to use, and beats Microsoft's OneNote in my opinion. Plus, it's lighter and more user-friendly. The only downside is the color choices are not that great, it's a bit hard to describe but they're not very pleasing to look at and can be annoying to read. There's definitely room for improvement there. A dark mode would also be a great addition since I think most people would agree with me on this.

I really like this app! It's so easy to use and useful, plus there are no annoying ads. The new backgrounds they recently added are awesome! I do have some ideas for improvements though: 1.Adding more backgrounds would be cool. 2.A lock feature for protecting notes or specific labels would be handy. 3.More functions for the shopping list, like a priority section, etc. There is one small problem though. Sometimes when I tap the undo button, it just exits the app instead of actually undoing my action. This forces me to manually backspace instead. Can you please fix this issue?

Yeah, Keep is awesome for jotting down ideas or making lists. It's my go-to for keeping track of random thoughts too. But seriously, Google, throwing in some folders to help us organize our notes would be a game-changer. With all the notes piling up, things can get chaotic fast. I mean, having separate folders for "Podcast" or "School" would make life so much simpler, don't you think? It's high time they added this feature!

I absolutely love Keep Notes! It doesn't offer a lot of fancy editing options - just note color and background image - which actually helps me stay focused. Plus, it syncs seamlessly across all my devices. So, if I jot down a quick note on my phone, I can easily access it on my laptop while planning my day on Google Calendar. It's super convenient and really streamlines my tasks. Overall, it's a handy and straightforward tool that keeps me organized. 👍🏼

This app is really cool! It's got so many features that make life easier. You can create color-coded lists and write down tasks with checkboxes next to them. When you complete a task and check the box, it moves to a separate category at the bottom and marks as done. I use this app for everything - from making grocery lists and planning recipes, to organizing my reading list, road trip activities, homework assignments, and even Halloween costume ideas. I definitely suggest giving it a try, it's been super helpful for me!

Oh, I really enjoy using Google Keep to keep myself organized! I think it would be awesome if they added a calendar view feature for tracking daily streaks, showing a visual timeline of completed tasks. It would also be great to have the option to set multiple reminders for a task throughout the day. With these enhancements, Google Keep would become even more amazing than it already is. Keep going, team!

I really like the app, but here's something I wish it could do: when setting reminders, it would be great if there was an option to repeat on the same day. For example, being able to set a reminder to repeat every x minutes or every x hours would be super useful for important tasks in case you miss the initial notification.

Oh man, I'd be in big trouble if something happened to this app! I rely on it for so many things like making shopping lists, keeping track of passwords, and even recording my interactions with estate creditors. One thing that bugs me a bit is that I can't copy multiple checkbox items at once. It's a pain to have to split up my lists by copying everything and then deleting what I don't need. I always worry about accidentally archiving or deleting lists, so I take screenshots of important ones as a backup plan.
