Comments on Google Pixel Buds for Android

★★★★★ I like it... But it could do with a built-in widgebfoe the home screen instead of just a shortcut.

★★★★★ I was so confused when I got my pixel phone cuz I couldn't find this app anywhere on it after I transferred my info from another phone. Turns out the app is already on pixel phones. It's just not in app form, it's in the Bluetooth settings. Google surprises me again 🤩

★★★★★ Superb sound. The manual controls on the buds are finicky, so I turned them off.

★★☆☆☆ Doesn't even open. The app used to be brilliant to personalize the Pixel Buds, now it just takes me straight to the Bluetooth settings within the phone. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and nothing changes. Don't waste the space on your phone.

★★☆☆☆ Running the latest pixel pro, brand-new buds, this app doesn't work, can't access EQ controls to adjust the tinny sound of these buds. Why is everything google makes nowadays complete garbage?

To access the Pixel Buds app:

• For Pixel users, pair the earbuds > go to Bluetooth settings > click on the ⚙️beside Pixel Buds.

• For other Android smartphones, locate the Pixel Buds app icon on your Home screen.

Note:

This application is designed for Google Pixel Buds (2nd Gen).

They really should have spent more time perfecting these before releasing them. I bought them right when they were launched and have been facing problems almost every week since then. Sometimes one ear plays louder than the other. They often disconnect, and when I try to reconnect, it takes about 10 minutes because it doesn't show up immediately. One earbud loses battery much faster than the other. The charging connection is unreliable, requiring me to adjust their positions frequently. These earbuds are expensive for the quality they offer.

I got these earbuds a year ago and really liked them at first, but then I started experiencing the same problems that others have mentioned. The issues kept getting worse over time, and recently they became too much to overlook or find ways to deal with. When I moved my head to the left, the earbuds would cut out or pause unexpectedly. They would disconnect and sometimes reconnect, but other times not. Sometimes the left one would just stop working or pair up randomly. After doing a factory reset, now when I try to pair them or locate them, they don't show up in the search at all.

The app should be separate from the operating system. I had these earbuds for different phones. It's better when the app is separate. It shouldn't be necessary to search through settings to use this product. Also, there should be quick settings for easily changing how the buds work. Those are the main concerns from the reviews. Make changes, don't just treat it as feedback.

The app can't find my buds A series on Android 12. Bluetooth is on and the buds work well - I can listen to music. But the app shows them as disconnected and I can't adjust any settings. On my other phone with Android 10, the app works fine. I contacted Google support about the issue. They said they can't do anything since the buds are working, and told me to submit feedback through the app. But I can't do that either because it has to be done from the app. The service is terrible.

The headphones are alright except for the battery life. The software part is not great though. The interface and features are very basic. It would be cool if the buds could let outside sounds in. There are many possibilities if Google put more effort into it.
