What is the gov.br portal?

It is a portal that aims to bring together all the information and services of the Federal Executive Branch in one place.

What is the benefit for the citizen?

The existence of a unified portal is a way to combat the problem of conflicting information about Public Administration services and actions from different sources.

The Portal also allows digital public services to be offered on a unified channel, facilitating access to citizens.

Furthermore, the digitalization actions of public services linked to the portal are modernizing and improving the provision of public services, allowing citizens to save time and avoid unnecessary trips.

Does the citizen participate in gov.br?

Yes, the gov.br portal allows citizens to evaluate existing information about each public service, as well as to evaluate the provision of digital public services themselves. The Portal is still completely integrated with the e-ouv platform, allowing citizens to make complaints, suggestions, comments or compliments to all the content present on it.

Does the gov.br portal incorporate new technologies?

Yes, the Portal is in a constant process of testing, evaluating and improving, always searching in this process for new digital solutions that make citizens' lives easier.

Who must comply with the rules of the gov.br portal?

All bodies and entities of the direct, autonomous and foundational federal public administration of the Federal Executive Branch.

Which digital channels are undergoing the unification process?

All internet portals and mobile applications that contain institutional information, news or provision of Federal Government services.

Where are the main domain changes and content migration occurring?

The main types of content being migrated are services, institutional and news. The systems, for now, will not be migrated.

How much did this unification cost?

By the end of 2020, the Federal Government invested around R$43 million in the gov.br portal project, with hosting, content migration and service.

Will there be a reduction in spending on the gov.br portal?

Yes. With the centralization of around 1,600 Federal Government websites, the gov.br portal will generate estimated savings of R$100 million per year in maintenance and development costs.

Is there a similar initiative that inspired this Federal Government project?

The most internationally relevant projects have been observed and used as a reference. Nations such as the United Kingdom, Mexico and Uruguay, among others, have already followed this same path.

Who becomes responsible for authorizing the registration of domains on the internet and mobile applications in application stores?

The Digital Government Secretariat of the Special Secretariat for Debureaucratization, Management and Digital Government of the Ministry of Economy, in accordance with the rules contained in Ordinance No. 39 , of July 9, 2019. The standard establishes procedures for the unification of digital channels and defines rules for the registration of addresses of electronic websites and Federal Government mobile applications.

How to place a new application in app stores to provide information and public services?

To make new mobile applications available, prior authorization and compliance analysis from the Digital Government Secretariat is required, in accordance with Ordinance No. 39 , of July 9, 2019.
