WHAT IS ONLINE CHECK-IN?

Online Check-In allows you to view estimated wait times for nearby hair salons, select your preferred salon, and join the waitlist remotely.

HOW ONLINE CHECK IN WORKS

1. Tap the big blue button to go to map and see Great Clips salon locations with estimated wait times. Location services must be turned on to see salons near you. If not, you can search by postal code or city.

2. Tap the salon where you want to check in.

3. Enter your name and phone number. If you're bringing friends or family, tap the + to select the number of guests. Tap the Check Me In button.

FATURES:

- View real-time estimated wait times based on current salon conditions.

- Utilize Online Check-In to secure a spot in line ahead of time.

- Receive ReadyNext® text notifications when your wait time is approximately 15 minutes.

- Save your favorite salon for quicker future check-ins.

HOW TO USE:

- Tap the Search icon

- Select a nearby salon

- Click the Check In button

- Input your name and phone number

- Tap Check In to add yourself to the waitlist without needing to log in or create a profile.

- Inform the salon upon your arrival.

After checking in, monitor your estimated wait time countdown and head to the salon when it's close to your turn for service.

ESTIMATED WAIT TIME:

Estimated wait times assume you will be assigned the next available stylist. Requesting a specific stylist may increase your wait time as their schedules are not publicly disclosed for privacy and safety reasons.

WHEN IS ONLINE CHECK-IN AVAILABLE?

Customers can utilize Online Check-In during the salon's operating hours, except for the initial five minutes after opening, allowing in-person customers to check in first. Online check-ins are accepted up to 30 minutes before closing time. Check-ins are not permitted through the app at closing time, though services can still be received.

CAN I USE ONLINE CHECK-IN FOR SERVICES OTHER THAN HAIRCUTS?

Online Check-In is available for all services except perms and formal updos. Some salons may not offer perms and appointments are often required for these specific services, prompting customers to contact the salon directly to inquire.

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A MOBILE DEVICE?

Online Check-In can be accessed from any internet-enabled device such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer by visiting greatclips.com, selecting Find a Salon or Check In, and inputting your postal code or address. Alternatively, individuals without internet access can visit a salon in person to join the waitlist.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE AT THE SALON?

After completing an online check-in, monitor your position on the waitlist and ensure you arrive at the salon prior to being next in line. For those wishing to receive ReadyNext® alerts when their wait time reaches 15 minutes, signing up for text notifications is advised. Upon arrival, notify the stylists of your presence for confirmation and completion of the check-in process.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I ARRIVE LATE?

In case of delays such as misplaced items or traffic issues, your name will remain on the list for a brief period.

HOW DO I CANCEL MY CHECK-IN?

Access the home screen once checked in and cancel at any time by selecting Cancel check-in.

    Having the app is useless! If you're not physically in line as soon as you check-in on the app, you might lose your place and need to begin again. The check-in time on the app varies a lot and doesn't match the text messages. When I went inside to check, the wait time I was given was different from both the app and text. It doesn't matter why this is happening or whose fault it is based on the situation.

    They were late for my appointment, 64 minutes now. Went to the store, they take walk-ins, can't give you a real time. Checking in for a haircut is pointless when walk-ins come first. Now waiting 25 more minutes, total of 89 minutes past check-in time. Great job, Great Clips.

    Wait times are never accurate. Every time I've arrived for my appointment with a supposed zero-minute wait, it has turned out to be over 10 minutes because there are already people ahead of me.     Wow, you've been having trouble logging into your Great Clips account for more than two months now. Every time you try to do online check-in, you keep getting error messages saying the service is unavailable or the salon details can't be loaded. It seems like this issue is happening with all Great Clips locations, including the one near you at Colonnade. That's frustrating since you live so close to that store but can't just walk in without a reservation. It's a shame that this ongoing problem might be causing Great Clips to lose loyal customers like you who have been using their services for over two years.

    So, there is this app that tells you how long you have to wait. The thing is, it's kind of tricky. When you use the app at home, it shows a shorter wait time.
