Greene King Pubs & Restaurants - Locate closest pubs

So the other day, I headed to the bar to place my order, but because of my allergies, the staff told me I had to use their app. I tried to let them know about my allergies so the kitchen could take precautions, but the app only allowed me to filter the menu. It seemed risky as it increased the chances of cross-contamination and was quite bothersome. The tables didn't have numbers, but the app required one to move forward, which forced me to ask for help from the staff. When it finally came to checkout, the app suddenly claimed I was offline even though I had been struggling with it for over five minutes. Sometimes, you know, not everything really needs an app.

It would be awesome to have some updates. One downside is not being able to edit your meals, which is a big disappointment. You also can't order tap water or view the meal deals for kids without having the menu in front of you. Even when you have the menu, the options don't match what's in the app. With a few adjustments, it would be much more convenient to use.

It can be really annoying when you're trying to order food and some dishes keep appearing and disappearing on the menu. It's okay if something has sold out, but the app should be accurate and consistent, not changing all the time. Also, it's unnecessarily complicated when you have to actively choose not to order optional extras. If I don't select any extras, it means I don't want any.

Wow, this app is way better than a lot of other restaurant apps. You can actually take things off your dish here, which you usually can't do on other apps. And it's really easy to find your way around too.

This app isn't great. It's frustrating that it won't load my favorite pubs and I have to keep picking them every time I open it. It even says there's no menu at a specific pub on my friend's phone but works fine on mine. Seems like the people in charge of this app don't really care as long as it sort of functions. It's sad how many apps these days are like this. Apps used to be better a decade ago. Everything seems to be getting worse nowadays.

We were told to order our meal in advance. It took quite a long time from paying for the order until it was finally delivered, almost two hours for three basic meals. Meanwhile, those who ordered at the bar were served promptly. The restaurant promised to refund our meal, but we have yet to see it weeks later. We will definitely steer clear of ordering in advance next time and just go straight to the bar!

The app wouldn't open because it needed WiFi. It also didn't accept my WiFi password. I tried to reset the password, but I couldn't access the email without WiFi. It felt like I was going in circles. Eventually, I had to speak with the waitress verbally to order a drink, which took 25 minutes to arrive at the table. The same thing happened with the food. The landlord wanted us to use the phone for track and trace instead of filling out forms, even after I explained that the app wasn't working for me. It was a total nightmare. This app used to work perfectly in 2019, but not anymore.

So, I had no problem picking out food, but when I tried to pay with Paypal, the system completely crashed. Plus, there's no way to get a receipt. For most people, this might not be a big deal, but if you're traveling for work and need to claim expenses, this means Greene King pubs are not an option. It seems like such a small thing to fix, perhaps they could add it through the order history feature? Also, I'm wondering if the order history gets wiped clean after a week? I can't find my previous orders, even though I know they were there for at least a couple of days after using the app. Clearly, this app needs some serious improvement.

What an awful app experience! It took a whopping 25 minutes just to download, register, locate the pub, pick out items, proceed to payment, only for the app to crash and lose the order each time. Every single step had to be done twice because the app couldn't locate the menu, show the drinks, or even access payment. In the end, we had to have the waitress take our order instead. If I can't place an order on your app, you're not going to make any money!
