Greenify - Maximize battery life

Your phone or tablet should not slow down or drain its battery excessively after installing several applications. Greenify ensures that your device can function almost as efficiently and lastingly as it did on the first day of use!

Greenify aids users in spotting poorly performing apps and places them into hibernation when they're not in active use. This innovative method prevents these apps from causing lag or consuming battery power! These apps remain inactive without your direct launch or invocation by other applications, while still maintaining full functionality when in use.

Greenify DOES NOT collect personal data despite having accessibility service capabilities; it solely utilizes this feature to streamline the hibernation process.

IMPORTANT: When you greenify an app, you acknowledge that all its background functions (such as services, scheduled tasks, event receivers, alarms, widget updates, and push notifications) will cease during hibernation unless you open the app.

AVOID greenifying alarm clock apps or messaging apps unless you do not depend on them. Make sure to evaluate how greenified apps affect those you rely on significantly.

Note: For automated hibernation to be effective, Greenify requires certain background services. It has been designed to be extremely light, with minimal CPU and battery usage.

DEVICE ADMIN: The app requests administrator privileges to immediately turn off the screen following automatic hibernation on devices without root access. This permission will only be requested if necessary.

DRAW OVER OTHER APP: This is needed to dim the screen during automatic hibernation when the screen is supposed to be off.

DISABLE SCREEN LOCK & BIND ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE: Essential for automatic hibernation on non-rooted devices.

GET ACCOUNTS & WRITE SYNC SETTINGS: Allows control over the sync activities of applications that may perform synchronization too frequently.

This application employs Accessibility services to facilitate the hibernation process.

Set Up Greenify

Open Greenify and select "Next" on the initial startup page. Choose "My device is not rooted," then select "Next."

On the new page, select the "Grant Permission" button to enable smart hibernation. What this does is avoid hibernating apps in the foreground or background when performing an ongoing critical task or playing music. Without this enabled, Greenify will hibernate apps (put them into Doze Mode) regardless of what they're doing, which can cause bugs.

So select the "Grant Permission" button, and on the new page, find "Greenify" and enable the toggle. Return to Greenify and select "Finish" in the bottom-right corner.
