Why Practice Indoor Shooting

Muscle Memory

When a threat arises, there’s a lot that goes on in your body and mind. Vision narrows, concentration sharpens, perception becomes more precise and adrenaline courses through your veins causing your motor skills to deteriorate. All of this can put you in danger. The best way to make sure that your physiological changes don’t cause you to shut down is to focus on building muscle memory.

This means hitting the outdoor and indoor shooting range regularly to practice the repetitive actions you’ll want to take when a threat materializes. It’s working on drawing and firing, shooting with one hand and making all of the other steps you’ll need to take when a threat materializes automatic.

Reload Techniques

It’s pretty easy to reload in a dry, well-lit space when there’s no imminent threat. But can you do it in less-than-perfect weather? Can you quickly reload in low light or in the dark? Do you have to look at your gun? If you aren’t answering these questions with a confident affirmative, it’s time to practice.

Practice hand-to-hand reloading. Work on your tactical reload, which occurs when you’ve expelled most of a magazine then reload a full magazine. Work on reloads in different levels of lighting. Practice maintaining a few rounds for later, just in case you need them. If you aren’t practicing reload techniques, you may not be prepared to protect yourself and others if there is a real threat.

Practice Precision

At the beginning and end of the day, shooting well comes down to precision. Even one errant shot can have horrific consequences. That’s why making sure you’re putting in range time is so important. Going to the indoor shooting range, as well as the outdoor range on a regular basis is the best way to increase the likelihood that you will hit your real-life target when the moment of truth arrives. It allows you to sharpen your skills, acquire new ones and ensure you are prepared for any emergency.

4 Mindset & Gun Training Tips To Practice At Home

Practice Dry Firing

Dry firing continues to be one of the best ways to improve sight alignment and trigger-pressing response without burning through heaps of ammo. Beginners and seasoned shooters alike can benefit from dry firing exercises. To begin, choose a safe target, draw the unloaded gun from the holster, aim, press the trigger, and reholster. Remember to maintain the same motions, stance, grip, and distance as you would when live firing.

While dry firing does not simulate the recoil and force exerted by a loaded gun, trainees can still practice some aspects of their shooting through dry-firing, including target aiming and body position. If you’re worried about the negative effects dry firing can have on your gun’s firing pin, use snap caps to prevent any unnecessary damage.

Exercise

While just about anybody can shoot a gun, not everyone has the physical and mental strength to do so well. This is why most firearms training professionals recommend regular exercise to complement gun training. In particular, any weight-lifting and bodyweight exercises that target the upper-body can improve a shooter’s ability to hold heavier firearms and handle more recoil or kick.

Just like with any other training regiment, the key to a successful workout is perseverance and progress. As you get stronger and push through these exercises, try decreasing your rest time, increasing the weight you’re using, or increase the number of repetitions. Some at-home exercises that are particularly useful for gun trainees include the following.

   - Hand-Grippers

   - Farmer’s Carry

   - Plate Pinches

   - Back Extensions

   - Pull-Ups

   - Leg Raises

Meditate

Similar to combat breathing exercises, meditation can be an effective way to improve concentration, stress-management, and quick-time response, all of which make for better shooting. There are many ways to achieve a meditative state. The most common is to sit in a quiet space, close one’s eyes, and focus on breathing deeply from anywhere between a few minutes to an hour. The goal is to clear the mind from distractions and focus entirely on the rhythm and source of one’s breathing.

It may not seem like much but, with a few meditation sessions, you can feel more at ease, less worried, and better able to concentrate. Meditating can also be an easy introduction for gun trainees into the world of tactical mindset training, which is designed to prepare trainees for a wide variety of stressful situations and hostile environments, among other purposes.

Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone

While shooting can become a favorite pastime for many, it is often related to stressful and outright dangerous situations. In particular, any unexpected situations which put our lives at risk can be incredibly difficult for anyone to handle. To prepare for the unexpected, sharpen your stress-management skills by getting out your comfort zone. By changing a few simple habits, such as showering with cold instead of hot water, gun trainees can develop greater determination and practice handling uncomfortable and difficult situations.

There are so many ads in this game. It's like you have to watch an ad after every round and even if you get a bonus round, you still have to watch another ad. I thought it was fun at first, but now I'm going to delete it.

Don't bother with this game. You only get 30 seconds of play for every two minutes of ads. There are much better shooting games out there.

Playing this game is a nice way to kill time. It would be better if there weren't so many ads, but I get that's how it stays free. Still, it's a fun game.

There are too many ads compared to the actual time I spend playing. After I finish a level in just 10 seconds, I have to sit through a 30-second ad. Hopefully, this can be fixed before I decide to delete the game.

It's the best game ever! The graphics and sounds are amazing. Who cares about the ads? You can skip most of them after just 5 seconds. This shooting game is top-notch. I love it!

The game's theme is overused, and there are superior options out there. The excessive ads, even after declining to watch for extra coins, are frustrating. Also, the gun shop is only accessible at the start when you lack coins, making it useless. Sorting bullets or assembling guns doesn't result in any rewards.

I really like this game. The animations are awesome, and the attention to detail on the weapons is top-notch. I enjoy putting the weapons together. It's so satisfying. I liked it so much that I decided to pay to get rid of the ads because this game is totally worth it. The only thing that would make it even better is if there was some kind of weapon simulation feature. It would be cool to be able to examine, reload, cock, and shoot the weapon.

I just took my first real test, but it's too early to know how well I did. I think creating a program for Android phones that allows them to be used as controllers for $5 each could attract more users to your apps. As for the game, I'll wait another week before deciding. This is the end of part 1.
