Hades’ Star Guide: Tips, Cheats, and Strategies

1. The Basics of Hades’ Star

You’ve likely heard of or have seen news stories about the game EVE Online at some point. The massive online space sim requires years of dedication. From a complicated UI, to slow-progression, building an empire in EVE is a job. And that’s where a game called Hades’ Star comes in. Hades Star puts you in charge of a star-spanning empire. Your fledgling empires resources and armies are yours to command as you expand your rule across new star systems, build and customize new chips, and optimize trade routes. You’ll do this over many weeks.. months.. maybe even years. And you can take your empire with you on the go. Follow our guide below to master your empire.

Hades' Star

2. Time After Time

Hades’ Star is primarily not an action game nor one that requires multi-hour sessions of continuous gameplay. It does, however, require commitment and is very much a “long haul” journey. Players typically check in hourly to maintain income and other operations. You can play for as little as 15 minutes a day. The key is to grow your empire slowly. Don’t aim for anything big until you get a feel for the game. Let your empire grow gradually.

3. Upgrades

Only upgrade what you need on ships. In particular, be careful upgrading your battleships too early as they use a lot more hydrogen. The upgrades you should do are often dictated by the challenges you face in-game. If shipping is taking too long, you aren’t getting enough credits to support your progress, consider upgrading your planets and transports. If Red Stars are too difficult and you find combat is taking its toll regularly, it is time to upgrade your battleship or its modules.

4. Making the Money

Scan as many sectors as possible so you can expand your trade so you can earn credits faster. Also, optimize your scanner locations so you don’t waste money. Shipment rewards can account for up to 90% of your income, depending on how much you play per day. If you spend multiple hours, the shipment rewards become pocket change compared to Red Star runs with continuous salvage of excess Artifacts. The key is having to have lots of Miners to sustain constant Red Star runs. For more advanced players, 90k credits/day is the norm, out of which only about 20k are shipments, however, shipments cost significantly more hydrogen to do. If you have the time, Red Star missions provide much more income.

Hades' Star

5. Planets

Yellow Stars are the main place where you will be on every time you log onto the game. Yellow stars is the place that includes planets which can shipments. These shipments earn you credits and many sometimes have crystal shipments which are kind of rare. You can carry shipments from different planets and store up to two times it’s shown capacity unless the shipment is going to the planet where you are storing the shipment which earns you credits instead of storing it. Planets can even store arts. Have leftover arts? Store them! The side effect of storing more than one arts is that it doesn’t produce shipments. It’s best that you store arts on your starter planet and mainly the desert one because of it’s low credit yield or the amount of credits you get per shipment.

This game is absolutely fantastic! You can advance alongside top players without spending money. It offers various combat styles to suit all preferences like PvP, PvNPCs, and team battles. There are no raids, so you can focus on developing your system without fear of losing your hard-earned "city" or "village". With different modes available, you can employ diverse strategies and tactics to achieve success. In short, it's just awesome!

I returned to the game after being away for nearly a year and was pleasantly surprised by all the new quality of life features. It seems like most of them were added in a big update some time ago. It's a fun little game to play for a bit every day, and you get to watch your empire grow. Combat is simple but fun, and the punishments for getting defeated are low enough that it's encouraging to try risky strategies. If you like the idea of running a space empire, it's definitely worth a shot.

I tried out the Beta version of Dark Nebula. It bothers me that I can't tell how full transport ships are unless they are docked. This leads to making silly errors. I prefer the building images from the Beta, such as the shipyard. In this current version, the buildings are represented by blue outline icons instead of actual structures in the world. I find it unappealing. I wish to see the structures in the game instead of the modern lines. Why wouldn't you change targets?

Hey there! This game is great for strategizing how you gather and use resources efficiently. I have a couple of ideas to make the user interface even better. Firstly, it would be helpful to have the "Next Waypoint" button placed at the far right side so it's easily accessible. It should also be available without needing to confirm the first destination with the checkmark button. This way, you can plan your route during the 10-second countdown, giving you a head start. Secondly, when you select a body, it would be useful to see the number of shipments waiting to go from other systems to the system you've chosen. This information can help you make more informed decisions about where to allocate your resources.

This game is great! It has awesome mechanics, graphics, balance, and it's super friendly towards players who don't want to spend money. The gameplay is enjoyable and the mechanics are simple but smart. Progression isn't hard work either. You can take your time playing at your own pace. The game looks really nice and runs smoothly. Best part? It's free to play and you can get everything you need just by playing for a little while. There's no need to buy anything extra.

Imagine a game that is already so fun to play. Now, think about how amazing it would be if you could easily search for specific players, become friends with anyone you want, see when your friends are online, and chat with them - even when they're not playing at the same time as you! Adding these features would take the game to a whole new level of social interaction, making it even more enjoyable for everyone involved. Isn't that exciting?

This game is really well-crafted on a global scale. However, there's a significant issue with the imbalance in the blue star system. Because of this, your opponents can become incredibly strong, leaving you with little to no chance of winning. Another major problem that I encountered is related to maintaining multiple accounts on Google Play. Unfortunately, the developers have stopped offering assistance for this matter. When I tried to link my Google Play account with my Steam account using the "Link another device" feature, I ended up losing access to my star system and all the progress I had made over a period of more than two years.

This game is so much fun! You can try out different ships and play styles. It's great that you can also play with friends during different star types. I really like that the game is free to play, you don't have to pay to keep going. The only thing I wish was better is the diplomatic relations. It feels limited to only one person at a time. But overall, Hades Star is definitely one of my top games to play.

Imagine playing this amazing game with your friends, whether it's every day or once in a while, for just a short while or an extended period. It even offers a battle mode where time moves at a snail's pace, ensuring that any disruptions in real life won't ruin your game. I enjoyed it so much that I didn't hesitate to spend a bit of money to get a special deal on ship upgrades forever. And the best part is, this game won't annoy you with ads or constantly ask for money.
