Overview of the mobile app

Search Tab

On the Search Tab, you have the ability to explore all of our content and search for specific prayers or music. When you click on this tab, you will see the content organized into different categories. You have the option of searching through these categories or searching a specific topic in the search bar at the top.

For example, when you search and use the keyword "Fr. Mike" within the app, it will provide you with five different options that you can toggle through to locate the exact content you're looking for:

1. Top Results: This option combines all of the top results related to the topic you're searching for. Your search results may include sessions, collections, categories, and even references to Bible content

2. Collection: Collections are groups of prayers or sessions bundled together. For instance, "Daily Homilies" is a good example of a collection.

3. Sessions: This option helps you find individual sessions or prayers that are guided by Fr. Mike. If you're looking for a specific prayer or topic, this is the place to start.

4. Categories: A category refers to one of the sections that come up pre-organized in the search tab. If you search for a topic and we already have organized all of those sessions into a category, then it will come up under "Categories." Since we have a category for Fr. Mike, clicking on "Categories" will take you to a page filled with all of the sessions and collections related to Fr. Mike's content.

5. Bible: References to scripture will come up and can take you directly to the Bible verse related to that topic.

Bible Tab

In the Bible tab you can read the Daily Readings, Responsorial Psalm, and The Gospel, as well as access individual books of the Bible. The Bible tab offers several Bible translations, including language-specific editions that match the available languages in the app.

In the Bible tab, you can also find the previous and next day's Daily Readings, Responsorial Psalm, and Gospel.

Key Features:

• Daily Prayers and Devotionals: Engage in daily prayers through various methods, including popular ones like Lectio Divina (in Daily Readings), the Holy Rosary, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, or Daily Mass Readings and Reflections.

• Christian Meditation: Dive into the practice of Christian meditation, akin to mindfulness meditation, focusing on becoming comfortable with silence but always directing one's heart and mind towards God, engaging in conversation with Him, listening, and acknowledging His presence.

• Bible Stories for Sleep: Experience calming sounds of the Night Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours/Daily Office, and listen to Catholic Holy Bible stories narrated by figures such as Jonathan Roumie from The Chosen or Father Mike Schmitz from The Bible in a Year podcast.

• Rosary: Meditate along Mary through the mysteries of the Catholic Rosary, and explore other daily devotionals and prayers.

• Ignatian Examen: Reflect and meditate on your day, fostering an awareness of God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
