The Healow App is a convenient mobile tool that allows patients to access health information and communicate with their healthcare providers to stay engaged, motivated, and make healthy choices. 

Set up the healow smartphone app

Step 1: Download the healow App

For iPhone Users:

    Open the App Store on your iPhone.

    Tap on the search icon (magnifying glass) at the bottom of the screen.

    Type "healow" in the search bar and press enter.

    Find the healow app in the search results and tap Get to download it.

For Android Users:

    Open the Google Play Store on your Android phone.

    Tap on the search bar at the top of the screen.

    Type "healow" and hit enter.

    Locate the healow app in the results and tap Install to download it.

Step 2: Identify Yourself

Once the app is installed, open it by tapping on the healow icon on your home screen.

You will be prompted to enter your personal information:

Input your first name.

Enter your last name.

Provide your date of birth (DOB).

After filling in this information, tap Continue or Next to proceed.

Step 3: Find Your Practice

To connect with your healthcare provider, you need a practice code:

Enter the practice code provided by your healthcare provider's office. This code is unique to each practice and can usually be obtained from their website or by contacting them directly.

After entering the code, tap on Find Practice or a similar button to locate your healthcare provider.

Step 4: Set Up Your PIN

Once you have successfully located your practice, you will be prompted to set up a secure PIN:

Choose a 4-digit PIN that you can easily remember but is not easily guessed by others.

Confirm your PIN by entering it again when prompted.

After setting up your PIN, you may have options to enable additional security features such as fingerprint recognition (if supported by your device).

After completing these steps, you should be logged into the healow app, where you can access various features such as viewing health records, scheduling appointments, and communicating with your healthcare provider.

1. Do I have to pay to get access to the Patient Portal and healow app?

Access to our Portal and the healow app are completely free. We share this information with our patients to give them access to their health records and help them make better healthcare decisions.

2. Is having online access secure?

Yes, the information is completely secure. It is protected with a username and password/PIN number of your choice through SSL encryption.

3. What can I access through the healow mobile app and Patient Portal?

We share information with our patients that we feel can help them and keep them informed. Every practice is different, and we try to provide patients with key information regarding their health. For a complete list of features, ask our friendly staff.

4. What if I need technical assistance?

User support is built into the web portal and the app, or you can ask a member of our staff.

5. I forgot my login or password. How can I reset or obtain new login credentials?

The app and our Portal allow you to reset your username and/or password. You can also call the front desk and we can reset the username and/or password for you.

6. How do I sign up?

Sign-up is simple and outlined in the steps above. You should receive a username and password from our practice via email that you can print out and customize after your initial login. Access can be made via any web browser, or through the smartphone app.

Patients using the healow app can easily:

- Message the care team: Contact the care team through quick, secure direct messages.

- View test results: Access labs and other test results as soon as they become available.

- Self-schedule appointments: Book appointments with the care team and view upcoming visits beyond regular office hours.

- Check in before the visit: Easily check in for appointments and save time by completing any necessary documentation before arrival.

- Attend virtual visits: Initiate and attend telehealth visits with members of the care team.

- View medications, set medication reminders, and request refills without calling the doctor.

- View medical history: Includes allergies, immunizations, vitals, visit summary, and other health information.

- Monitor vitals and meet health goals: Use weight management, activity, fitness, and sleep tracking tools to track readings and watch for trend changes to share with the doctor.

- Manage and view multiple family members' health records under one account.

Patients must have an existing Healow Patient Portal account with their doctor's office to use the app. Once downloaded and launched, the patient can log in using the username and password used to access the provider's Healow Patient Portal website. The app will prompt the user to create a pin and enable Face ID or Touch ID. Enabling either of these features will save the user from having to enter their login information every time they use the app.
