Using the selection tool allows you to operate only a small area, allowing you to process the painting more precisely, such as drawing, smearing, erasing, filling, transforming, filtering, etc. in a small area. HiPaint provides four ways to draw selections to meet your different needs. The ant line is turned on by default in the selection. If you don't want to turn on the ant line, you can turn it off in the painting settings.

Note: During the process of drawing a selection, undo and redo are supported.

Magic wand selection

Tap the selection tool, click the magic wand and then click Settings. You can set the tolerance, extended edge, sampling method and proximity method of the magic wand tool. The usage method is the same as that of the paint bucket. The sampling method and proximity method of the selection are synchronized with the paint bucket.

When you click on the canvas, it will search outward at the clicked position and turn areas of similar colors within a certain tolerance range into a selection. When you click on other locations, the old selection will not be cleared. The Magic Wand tool will The selection is added by default, and the selection will continue to be added.

Lasso selection

Tap the lasso. There are two ways to draw the lasso tool. The first is to press and drag on the canvas, and after lifting it up, it will automatically close the first and last points to form a selection; the second is to click on the canvas to draw. During the drawing process, the previous point and the next point will be automatically connected. You can also press and hold Drag, and a connecting line will appear between the previous point and the dragged position. Click on the connecting line to add an adjustment point, click on an existing adjustment point to delete it, drag the adjustment point to move the position, and finally click on the starting point. Draw out the selection. Lasso clears the old selection by default when drawing a new selection.

Polyline

The method of using polyline is to click on the canvas to draw. During the drawing process, the previous point and the next point will be automatically connected. You can also press and drag. A connection line will appear between the previous point and the drag position. Click on the connection line to add an adjustment point, click on an existing adjustment point to delete it, drag the adjustment point to move the position, and finally click the starting point to draw the selection.

Rectangular selection

Tap the rectangle, long press and drag on the canvas to draw a rectangular selection. If you want to draw a square selection, drag with one finger and hold down the canvas with another finger to draw a square selection. When drawing a new rectangular selection, the old selection will also be cleared by default.

Ellipse selection

Tap the ellipse, long press and drag on the canvas to draw an elliptical selection. If you want to draw a perfect circular selection, drag with one finger and hold down the canvas with another finger to draw a perfect circular selection. Circular selection. When drawing a new selection on an ellipse, the old selection will also be cleared by default.
