Makhos: A Thai Board Game for Android

Makhos is a Thai board game for Android that brings the traditional Thai game of Makhos to your mobile device. Similar to Checkers, Makhos is a strategy game that requires you to move your pieces diagonally across the board, capturing your opponent's pieces along the way.

The game features a beta version 1.0 and is developed by sengpedman. It offers three levels of computer AI to play against, allowing you to challenge yourself and improve your skills. During gameplay, if a piece has the opportunity to capture an opponent's piece, it must do so before any other move can be made.

Makhos also includes a two-player mode, allowing you to play against a friend. The game provides sound effects that can be toggled on or off in the setup menu. To move your pieces, you simply tap on the piece and then select the desired position on the board.

Please note that there have been some reported bugs on devices running Android 2.2 (Froyo). The developer is working on resolving these issues. If you encounter any unusual behavior or bugs while playing, you can report them to the developer's fanpage on Facebook or their website.

Makhos, version 1.0 {beta}

An authentic Thai Makhos game which allows pieces to move forward and backward once they reach the end corners. The current version is still in beta with a computer opponent offering three difficulty levels. During capturing moves, mandatory captures must be taken, otherwise, other moves cannot be made (no multiple jumps, but mandatory captures).

* The AI computer is currently under improvement ^ ^

* Added sound effects [option to turn on and off in the setup]

* Moving is done by tapping on the piece and then selecting the desired destination ^ ^ No dragging allowed (although sometimes some devices may allow dragging after tapping, but the piece cannot be dragged).

* If unable to move, check if there are any pieces that need to be captured first before moving.

*** For reported bugs, most of them were encountered on devices with Froyo Android 2.2. As most reports indicate inability to play, it is advised to remove Froyo for now. Furthermore, if causes are identified or fixes are made, it will be reintroduced.
