It works, but it could be easier to use. For instance, two out of the three 'different' timers seem to be doing the same thing, just under different names. It would be great to have timers based on when the sun rises and sets since that's what we usually rely on to decide if we want our blinds up or down and our lights on or off. Interestingly, 5% on Google Home translates to 95% in this app, which was kind of puzzling at first. Now, I just say the command and hope I got it right.

I'm really pleased with this app and the trådfri system! Sometimes pairing can be a bit tricky, but I always manage to figure it out. Plus, I don't have to pair devices every single day anyway.

Oh no! Such a bothersome user experience! It used to work smoothly with Google Assistant. However, things changed when the bridge lost power. Now, the bulbs can be seen in the home app, but they just won't respond to commands. Despite trying to reset, resync, and remove them from the home app, nothing seems to work. And when attempting to remove the home assistant integration in the trådfri app, it simply causes the app to crash. Even uninstalling and reinstalling the app didn't bring any relief. This situation has become so frustrating that returning everything to the store and opting for the hue system seems like the only viable solution.

Work goes well but sometimes I need to reset the device. I'm not sure why, but it's really helpful and works well with my Amazon Echo. Thank you Ikea! I'm thinking of getting more lights for each room.

So, there's been an update for the app, and it's really slick. The developers nailed it this time. When the gateway does its thing, I'm happy with it. But sometimes, connectivity can be a bit iffy. Nevertheless, the app itself is awesome and provides a smooth experience. Overall, the design of the Tradfri system is fantastic. It's just the gateway part that could use some improvement. Great job on the updates!

Oh boy, this thing is a huge disappointment. I should've paid attention to the reviews. Setting it up was fine, but they just wouldn't cooperate consistently. I had six of these gadgets in my kitchen and not a single one would function properly. I'd tell Alexa to turn them off, there'd be a frustrating delay, and then only 3 or 4 would actually power down. I'd try again, and maybe one more would shut off, and after my third attempt, I could finally get them all to go dark. It became so aggravating that I decided to move them, and then, they flat out refused to work with Alexa altogether. After countless tries, I attempted to sever the connection between Alexa and the app - what a hassle that was. Eventually, I got rid of it. But now, I can't seem to reconnect it at all. It's beyond annoying. This seemed like a genius concept from Ikea, but unfortunately, it falls way short. My advice? Either invest in Philips Hue or just stick to the old-fashioned method and use the darn light switch.

It seems like things are going smoothly with the affordable automation hardware and user-friendly app. The light bulbs perform well with their gradual brightness increase feature. I have yet to test out the speakers, but overall this seems to be a great home automation system. Also, it integrates well with the Google Home app.
