About the Kitchen Ordering Guide

This guide will help you create the kitchen of your dreams. From measuring and designing, to ordering and installing, this guide will guide you every step of the way. Of course, if you can't or don't want to do it all yourself, that's fine, our measuring, design, payment, delivery and installation services are here to make your life easier.

Step 1: Measure

    • By using the IKEA 3D Home Planner, you can get accurate and easy-to-use kitchen plans, make sure to measure accurately to the millimeter;

    • Remember to mark your plans for electrical sockets, water pipes and other protruding objects such as radiators and pipes;

    • Download the 4 Steps to a New Kitchen - Design Guide (PDF) and the Customer's Kitchen Measurement Sheet (PDF) for full written instructions on how to measure your kitchen;

    • If you're not comfortable measuring yourself, don't worry. Our measuring service can do it for you.

Step 2: Order

    • You can place your order with a Kitchen Planner in your local IKEA store;

    • If you order in store, you will need to print out your kitchen plan or provide your IKEA Home Planner username and password to access your plan in 3D IKEA Home Planner;

    • Before placing your order, one of our Kitchen Planners will review your design to make sure everything works;

    • We all need help sometimes. IKEA supports a variety of payment methods to help you turn your dream kitchen into reality.

    • If you can't get your kitchen home yourself, no problem, we can do it for you.

Step 3: Install

    • Follow the printed assembly instructions for each product before installation;

    • Install your products in the correct order;

    • Leave electrical and plumbing work to the professionals;

A full service from start to finish, including assembly and installation of all items including cabinet doors, drawer fronts, built-ins, worktops, gas and electrical appliances, even the kitchen sink. We install your kitchen to the highest industry standards. All packaging is removed and disposed of in an environmentally sustainable manner.
