The app was never great, but it did manage to transfer photos to my phone, although they were always in the wrong order. Ever since the update in February 2021, I haven't been able to connect to my camera at all. I tried everything suggested in the FAQ, but nothing worked. Looks like I'll be going back to using USB cables.

This app is really frustrating and not user-friendly at all. All I wanted to do was use location sharing, but the whole process is so complicated. First, you have to connect the camera using wifi in the remote shooting menu, not in the wifi menu. Then you need to pair it with Bluetooth and give it permanent access to your location. Every time there's a firmware or Android update, the pairing stops working, and you have to start over again. It's supposed to be a quick 2-minute task, but it ends up taking an hour and reading through multiple help pages. Sony, your software is just not cutting it.

The app needs your location to work, but that doesn't make any sense. I tried it again, and college projects are more interesting than this app. Sony should feel ashamed. It's so slow, not user-friendly, and just awkward. Using a remote, either cabled or wireless, is a better choice than this app for looking at pictures on your phone.

As of 5/23/21, I am so fed up with this. It's frustrating being a Sony customer. The app just keeps failing to function. It's not a minor issue; it simply doesn't work at all. How can a Sony app be this terrible? It's completely dysfunctional and incredibly disappointing. While I managed to patch it temporarily and use it for a bit, now it refuses to go beyond taking just one picture from my camera before crashing. It's unusable. No amount of updating, reinstalling, or restarting can fix it.

This app isn't good. Every time you use it, you have to accept the terms & conditions. Plus, you need to be online to do that. So, if you just wanted to send pictures without internet or use the app as a remote trigger where there's no cell signal, you can't go further than the first screen. The picture transfer part is glitchy and I can't transfer more than 10-15 images at once without it freezing. In general, this app seems like it's for a cheap camera.

The app was great a year ago. I could easily transfer photos to my phone and even take pictures with my camera using my phone. But now, it doesn't work like that anymore. I have to send photos individually to my husband through text or email. It seems like Sony destroyed the app on purpose to make people stop using it. Good job, Sony.

The app is not good, they didn't test it properly. I can't connect to a6400 with my LG V40 running Android 10 through wifi. Even before the update to Android 10, it would take like 3-4 tries to make it connect. It's hard to find features in the app. And the feature to report wifi connection problems doesn't even work. It's kind of funny. They should hire more programmers to make this app actually work.

Changed my review to 2 stars. This app used to show me where my cameras were, but Sony hasn't updated it for new Android versions that need extra permissions for location updates. Now there's no way to enable it in the settings. They should either add GPS to the cameras or update the app more often.

The app is not trustworthy and often doesn't connect to my a6100 camera. The camera's wifi shows up, but I can't connect. Sony, we invest a lot in your cameras, maybe you should consider getting help to fix your apps since the ratings show you might not be doing it right.
