Inline with the Digital India initiative, the IAF has taken landmark steps like Online Tests for IAF recruitment, and an interactive mobile game to showcase the life of an IAF pilot.

Indian Air Forces mobile gaming application

The official mobile gaming application of the IAF will allow an aspirant to experience first hand the roles of an IAF air warrior, as well as means to apply and appear for recruitment from the comfort of his/her mobile phone.

The gaming application will have various features, including offline single player missions, an online multiplayer and a career navigator information section as well as augmented reality features.

Single player features

Single player missions will be based on an engaging narrative, allowing the player to fly a wide arsenal of IAFs aircraft assets.

The player will be taught how to handle a high performance aircraft via a tutorial mission at the end of which, the player will earn his/her wings.

10 engaging and high action missions will follow, which will allow the user to experience air power of the IAF, in the form of its response, reach, precision and flexibility, including support to other arms of the Indian Military, as well as aid to civil authorities in the form of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief.

The user will also learn about the IAFs weapons and tactics, and how IAFs new acquisitions will help in realizing the IAFs future strategy.

Multiplayer features

The mobile gaming application will include online multiplayer, where players can engage with other like minded players over the internet.

Multiplayer game will have two modes a squad vs squad where players team up, and a free for all, where the last man standing will be the winner.

The user will have the option of using long range missiles which go beyond visual range, as well as ability to go head-on against other players in dogfight mode.

⭐ The official mobile gaming application of the IAF will enable an aspirant to experience firsthand the roles of an IAF air warrior and apply for recruitment from their mobile phone.

⭐ The gaming application will offer various features, including offline single-player missions, online multiplayer, career Navigator information section, and augmented reality functionalities.

Single-player features

✔ Single-player missions will have an engaging narrative allowing the player to operate a wide array of IAF's aircraft assets.

✔ Players will be guided on handling high-performance aircraft through a tutorial mission, earning their wings upon completion.

✔ Ten engaging and action-packed missions will follow, showcasing the IAF's air power capabilities, including support to other branches of Australia's military and humanitarian assistance efforts.

✔ Players will also learn about IAF's weaponry, tactics, and future strategic vision through the application.

Multiplayer features

✔ The gaming application will incorporate online multiplayer modes for players to compete and collaborate with others.

✔ Two modes will be available – squad vs. squad team-based gameplay and free-for-all mode where individual skills are tested.

✔ Players can use long-range missiles and engage in dogfight mode in head-to-head confrontations.

Release schedule

⭐ The official gaming application will be launched in stages throughout 2019. The initial release, focusing on single-player missions, is scheduled for July 2019.

⭐ The full version, integrating multiplayer features, is expected to launch in October 2019.
