Community Guidelines
Be Constructive
As an Inkitt community member, it's important to always engage with others with the aim to help them improve.
You should aim to provide actionable advice that the recipient can take to better themselves. As community members, let's be sure to provide the tools to do so. For example, useful feedback could mean:
Advice on how to overcome writer's block
Feedback on how to improve story structure
Overall character development
Focusing on a specific chapter, paragraph, or even sentence
The bottom line is, make sure the recipient can improve based on your feedback.
Be Professional
As readers or writers, the best way to participate in the community is to approach others professionally.
That means you leave your emotions at the door, and be objective when engaging with other community members, despite the emotional nature of storytelling. If you're on the receiving end, don't take offense if someone doesn't like your work. Being professional also means you, as a community member, are motivated to improve, whether you are a writer hoping to master your craft or a reader looking for great entertainment.
The idea is to acquire knowledge through social interactions.
Be Respectful
We insist that while you are on Inkitt, you respect everyone you engage with.
The internet is a place where people can freely voice their judgement, but it also gives community members the means to disrespect or insult others from their computer screen. You are free to disagree, but we absolutely insist you shouldn't be overly critical, or disrespectful.
Remember to always treat others the way you would want to be treated.
Report Something
Submitting reports on content that is against Inkitt’s guidelines allows everyone on our platform to feel safe.
Whether it be through books, comments, community groups, reviews, wall posts, or anywhere else.
Inkitt does not allow:
Spam posts
Content offering fraudulent goods, services, schemes, or promotions

Instructions for use
1. Add pictures to my story
When you access the editor on the web, you'll notice the "add image" button.
This button features the same icon used throughout the site, like on the profile page. Look for the familiar image icon to get started.
To add an image:
1. Click the location within your story where you want the image to appear – for example, between two paragraphs. The image will be inserted at the spot where your cursor is placed.
2. After selecting the "add image" button, a finder popup will appear. This popup serves as a convenient tool to help you locate and add the image you want to include in your story.
3. Within the finder popup, browse your computer or device to find the desired image you wish to include in your story.
4. Once you've chosen the image, click on the "open" option within the finder popup. This action will add the image to your story, centered precisely where you had placed your cursor earlier.
2. Set up Title Experiments
Log in to your Inkitt Author Dashboard to get started.
Look for the "Experiments" tab in your Author Dashboard.
In the Experiments tab, you'll find widgets showcasing metadata and analytics for all your tests. You'll also see controls for test status, a filter for test types, and more.
1. Click on the button to create a new experiment.
2. Select the story you want to conduct the experiment on.
3. Your original Title will show up automatically as the "Original" and then you can write the new Title as the "Test."
Once you've configured your experiment settings, you're ready to launch it and start collecting data!
3. Add an author’s note
To add an Author's Note, simply log in to your Inkitt account and navigate to the story you'd like to add notes to.
For story-level notes that you want people to know before they venture into the world you’ve created, go to the "Work Settings" section and click on "Author's Notes."
For chapter-level notes, where you can talk about your thoughts on a chapter once a reader is finished with it, you can add them in the optional section at the top of the chapter editor.
4. Create a Schedule
To schedule chapters, access the "Schedule Manager" button in the story editor. Here's what you'll find in the schedule:
Schedule Name: Provide a name for your schedule.
Interval: Specify how often chapters are released (e.g., Weekly, Bi-weekly).
Days of the Week / Day Number: Choose which days the chapters are released or set a specific day number.
Tiers to Release to: Determine which tiers or audience groups will receive the chapter.
Time to Launch: Set the time of day when chapters are published.
Date to Start Launching: Select the date from which your schedule starts.
Number of Chapters to Publish: Indicate the number of chapters to publish per release.
Please note that when you create a schedule, your chapters aren't automatically added to it! You do need to add chapters to your schedule. On unscheduled, unpublished chapters, you'll see the "Add to Schedules" button:
Clicking the button normally will let you add just one chapter, but if you want to add all chapters to your schedule, you can use the "Add All Chapters To Schedules" option.
Withdrawing all chapters still unpublishes your story.
