ipTIME Mobile Manager - Router management app

ipTIME Mobile Manager has been launched.

You can now manage your router conveniently anytime and anywhere.

- To use the Mobile Manager, your router's firmware must be version 9.96.0 or higher.

- If the primary router is from a third party and is being used as a hub, you will not be able to search for routers, and support is unavailable.

Using ipTIME Extender as a wireless AP

Extenders are usually used to extend the main router wirelessly, but they can also be used through the LAN port mounted on the extender.

It can also be used as a wireless AP.

In the case of ipTIME Extender, if you connect it to the main router with a wire, the LAN port will be automatically detected and switched to wireless AP mode.

Although switching to AP mode is possible simply by connecting a LAN cable, wireless security settings for the Extender set as a wireless AP must be performed separately.

This post guides you through setting up a wireless AP for ipTIME Extender.

1. Connect the extender to the router

1. Connect the Extender to the router/hub

Connect the Extender to the LAN port of the router or hub with a LAN cable.

2. Access the ipTIME Extender settings screen

- Access the Extender settings screen as shown below from the PC connected to the router or hub.

In this post, the default IP address of ipTIME Extender, 192.168.0.254, was used.

If the default IP address has changed, you can easily access the settings screen using the ipTIME search engine.

① Enter //192.168.0.254, the default IP address of the Extender, in the Internet address bar to access the ipTIME Extender settings screen.

② Click ‘Management Tools’.

※ If you cannot access the settings screen, press the RST button on the Extender for about 10 seconds to initialize the Extender and then try reconnecting.
