Jurassic World: The Game Tips & Tricks to Level Up and Evolve Your Dinosaurs
1. Feed Your Dinos Regularly
The key resource you’ll need when leveling up your dinosaurs is food. Keeping that in mind, you can set up your food production facility in such a way that you can produce as much food as possible; upgrade it regularly to increase the rate in which food is created and decrease the time it takes to produce food.
2. Which Dinosaurs Should You Feed First?
Now, that you know how you can produce more food, you’ll need to choose the right dinosaurs to prioritize when feeding. Of course, it will be those rare dinos that you want to focus on; hitting the feed button five times per creature would level it up. After that, it’ll require more food to move on to the next level, but when your dinosaurs reach Level 10, that’s where evolution comes into play.
3. How To Evolve Your Dinosaurs
You need two dinosaurs in order to start the evolution process, and they both need to be at their highest pre-evolution level. For example, that’ll be two Level 10 first, or bottom-tier dinosaurs, or two Level 20 second-tier dinosaurs. After that, it’s two Level 30 dinos, and so on. Sounds pretty easy, right?
The tricky part is when DNA enters the picture – you can only evolve a dinosaur card if you’ve got enough DNA, and the rarer your dinosaur is, the more DNA you’ll need to complete the process.
4. Don’t Spend Any Money
Last, but not the least, don’t fall into the trap of spending if you want to expedite the arrival of your evolved dino. It will eventually come, so there’s no need to be impatient – just produce more food in the interim and keep yourself busy while waiting for your dino’s evolution process to complete.
Game Strategies
Make sure your food production buildings are constantly working – Without food, your dinos can’t grow up big and strong. Food is necessary for levelling them up, which in turn is vital for helping them perform well in the arena. Always make sure your food buildings are producing the good stuff.
Stack food production for less hassle – You can actually queue up food production in ten-minute increments, thus eliminating the need to go running back to your food building over and over. Stack up as much production as you think you can afford.
Level up your dinosaurs for better battle performance, and more money – Levelling up your dinosaurs makes them stronger and allows them the chance to evolve. It also helps them earn more money when they’re just hanging out in their pens.
Open up a fight by skipping a turn to build up your battle points – It’s usually a good idea to stand your ground on your first turn during a fight. The extra battle point you gain can help you end the battle before a stronger dinosaur has the chance to take a bite out of you.
Aggression tops defense – In battle, always go on the offensive. By funneling all your points into an attack, you can end a fight quickly and cleanly. It’s rare for a computer-controlled opponent to nullify your blow by stacking their defenses.
Dinosaurs have class advantages over each other – A dinosaur’s natural strength counts for a lot in a fight, but there are class advantages to consider, too. Carnivores have an advantage over herbivores, which have an advantage over pterosaurs, which have an advantage over amphibians, which have an advantage over carnivores (Tyrannosaurus Rex fears killer frogs).
You can switch dinosaurs in the midst of a fight – It costs a battle point, but you can switch out dinosaurs during a fight by tapping on their portraits (look at the upper left-hand side of the screen). Swapping is vital for exploiting opponents’ weak points.
Check in every few hours to collect your free mystery pack – You get one free mystery pack approximately every five hours. These contain money, food, special missions, and, if you’re lucky, the DNA necessary to hatch a dino at no cost to you.
Build structures to generate more money – Even parks populated by awesome dinosaurs need coffee stands. Don’t forget to build supplemental structures like food buildings and security booths for extra income (and they make your park look prettier).
Perform special missions quickly – When you unearth a special mission, prioritize getting it done before it disappears (usually in a couple of hours). Special missions are a good way to earn the game’s hard currency, dino bucks.
Watch ads to earn dino bucks – Tap on the dino bucks indicator at the top of the screen in order to access the option to earn free dino bucks. Choose the option to watch an ad for free bucks. Make sure to let the timer count down before exiting, or else you won’t get your prize.
Beginners guide to Jurassic World: The Game
To get you started, we've put together some quick tips for new players. Leave your advice for players in the comments section below.
Building your park
Feeding dinosaurs doesn't just make them stronger in battle, it also boosts the amount of money they'll generate per hour. Keep feeding your dinosaurs whenever you can afford it.
Don't worry about placement when you first start building. You'll have so little room until you can afford an expansion that you'll just want to fit everything in as tightly as possible. You can always move it later.
Make sure you evenly level up at least one carnivore, herbivore, pterosaur, and amphibian to be competitive in battle.
Food production is cheap, but you'll need to activate the food factory to actually get it churning out meat. You should do this as often as you can, and upgrade it whenever possible, or you'll be unable to level up dinos.
Don't forget structures! They're hidden behind the dinosaurs in your marketplace, and offer a cheap and easy way to boost your gold output.
In battle
Remember that some dinosaurs are effective against others. Carnivores beat herbivores, which beat pterosaurs, which beat amphibians, which beat carnivores. A dinosaur in an advantagous class will do 50 percent extra damage.
With this in mind, carefully study the class of each dinosaur in your opponent's party, and pick critters that will have the upper hand.
You can change monster mid-battle by tapping on the dinosaur portraits. It will use up one action point, but gaining the class advantage makes it so worth it.
Be aggressive. If you use 4 attack commands, and your opponent uses 2 defence, you'll still do 2 attack. If you use 4 defence and your opponent uses 2 attack, you'll gain nothing. It pays to be offensive.
