Kasa Smart - Control smart home devices

This review talks about an app for wifi light bulbs. The schedule function doesn't work well, especially with the fade out feature. The lights don't always turn off as expected and when they turn back on, they may not be at the right brightness level. Sometimes, the app shows the lights as offline even when they are on. The app used to be great, but now it's slow and the layout is unappealing since the update. It used to be simple with easy access to my lights, now it's unnecessarily complicated. We can't just delete it because our homes rely on it. Please listen to your customers!

Setting it up was a nightmare. It took numerous attempts before it finally started working, without any guidance or indication of whether it was successful or not. It was really annoying and I even considered giving up on it twice, but eventually I managed to get it to work.

The problem persists. Sometimes the widgets just stop working, and there's only a small "x" that shows up briefly, which you might not even notice. And with each update, things seem to be getting worse! The developer's claim is incorrect. You have to open the app, let all the loading circles stop spinning on all your devices, and then tap on them, which makes the whole widget idea pointless! Some switches are inexplicably set to "local only" mode, and you can't change them to work remotely. Therefore, widgets are unable to control these "local only" devices.

You are not keeping up with the latest bad reviews. The newest app updates have made it difficult to customize scenes with specific colors and brightness. The scenes set up in the Kasa app don't appear in Google Home for routines. Everything was working fine before, but now it's disappointing. I regret investing so much in Kasa devices.

The installation and setup was a breeze. The app works really well with the features it has. However, there's a key feature that's lacking - the option to set up an "away" mode for all devices at once. Right now, you have to go into each device's settings individually to enable the away mode. It would be great to have a way to set up an "away scene" that can be activated or deactivated across all devices in the home instead of having to do it device by device.
