Kik - Instant messenger & chat

I've been using Kik for almost a decade now, but lately, it's been really frustrating to use. Instead of opening directly to my messages like it used to, the app now defaults to a Live page that I'm really not interested in. On top of that, it seems to crash almost every day. It would be so much better if there was an option to opt out of Live or if the app just went back to opening my messages first when I launch it, instead of constantly pushing the live streaming feature.

Oh, my buddies all use this app so I started using it too. But honestly, it's not that great. I'd totally be willing to fork out some cash for a better version though - one that doesn't crash all the time, doesn't have annoying ads, and lets me ignore those live videos (I don't care for them at all and they're just stopping me from checking out what I actually want). Also, wish there was an option to handle all those spammy messages better. Maybe they could set it up to filter out new DMs like how Facebook does it?

I have been using this app for years and enjoyed it a lot. I totally get that they need money to maintain the app, but it would be great to have the choice to temporarily reduce the number of ads or pay to get rid of them. At the very least, they could place the ads only on the conversations list page instead of inside the chat messages. The ads currently take up so much space, are irritating, and make it less appealing to use the app. I'm thinking of switching to Telegram now.

I really like this app, but after I updated it, I can't video chat with my friends who live in other states anymore. Plus, there are these annoying ads that keep flashing and taking away from the fun of chatting with my friends. The way the ads are shown doesn't match the app's look at all. There's no good spot for them, so they just seem even more annoying now. It would be better if you could put the ads somewhere less distracting, like maybe on the contact screen or when looking for bots, instead of popping up during chats. I hope this feedback helps!

So, today, out of nowhere, the app just keeps crashing for no apparent reason. It's really annoying! Like, I leave the app for a bit and then boom, it crashes. And even when I close it and try opening it again, it still crashes. The only quick fix is to uninstall and reinstall the app, but that means losing all my message history. It's super frustrating. The app worked perfectly fine until today. If there's any way to solve this issue, I would really appreciate some help.

So, like, I totally couldn't use this thing when I tried to sign up. It kept sending me back to do this verification thing over and over again, even if I did it right or not-so-right. I thought it might just be a little glitch at first, so I waited for a bit, but nope, still the same problem. Then I wondered if maybe you had to do the test like a gazillion times, so I gave it 30 tries, but it was still making me do it repeatedly. Seriously, this is a major mess-up – someone either didn't get paid enough or needs to be shown the door.
