The software showcases both conventional and innovative features aimed at enhancing the painting experience. Users can take advantage of versatile brush engines for both sketching and painting, stabilizers for precise freehand inking, assistants for creating intricate scenes, a distraction-free canvas mode, clone layers, layer styles, filter and transform masks for non-destructive editing. Additionally, Krita is compatible with various file formats, including PSD files.

Incorporating functionalities such as animation with onion skinning, storyboarding capabilities, comic book project management, Python scripting, a wide array of powerful filters, selection and colorizing tools, color-managed workflows, and customizable workspaces, Krita caters to diverse artistic needs.

Please note that this version of Krita is a beta release and should not be used for professional work. The current interface optimization targets larger screen devices like tablets and Chromebooks; therefore, it is not accessible on phones.
