Kroger - Grocery shopping deals

Always a joke! Items are never in the right places, and sometimes they are not even in the aisles that are supposed to exist. The app takes forever to get back on track after the store reset, as if it's a big surprise every time. And now, the prices are all wrong. My cart can show $250, but at checkout, it's $100 less. Thankfully, the list function helps me get close to the actual total within $5. But of course, that one functioning part had to give out too. In response to their promises for fixes - been there, done that. No improvement at all.

I love using this app! I can easily find and use digital coupons, check out ads, make a grocery list, and shop for items with delivery or car side pickup from my nearby Kroger. I can even place an order for same-day delivery! The app saves my order history, remembers my frequently purchased items for quick reordering, and shows all the items on sale. It helps me track my fuel points and savings too.

There are so many bugs in the app! For instance, when I search for something in the search bar, it just keeps loading and then crashes. It's really annoying when I'm trying to shop. Even now, in 2024, the app still has a lot of issues. It doesn't always add items from previous purchases to my cart, and sometimes it doesn't even add items when I use the search feature. I have to constantly check my order to make sure everything is added correctly.

Their site and app are full of problems. I'm really annoyed because the coupon feature doesn't work properly. I lost $15 on my first delivery and maybe almost $20 on several others. The site kept losing my cart and the app crashed multiple times, once even closing by itself. The categories are disorganized and there is no way to filter out unavailable items. I'll give it one star only because it still works somewhat, but they need to make a lot of improvements.

Sometimes this app shows that you clipped a coupon, but doesn't actually save it. You won't realize until you're at the checkout and see that you're paying full price instead of the sale price you expected. This issue occurs about 10-15% of the time, which is too frequent for a program meant to make saving easier.

The app always needs to be updated, otherwise you can't use it. I've never seen an app that requires updates so frequently. It's really irritating! Even though I'm good with computers, this app is the most confusing one I've ever used. You have to do a lot of clicking around just to order food. And with each update, it becomes even more difficult to use. I only open the app to get coupons for the week and then close it right away. The confusion is overwhelming.
