FAQs:
1. What documents do you need to provide to open a bank account?
To open a bank account in France, you must prove your identity to the bank. To do this, you must provide an official ID with a photograph (national identity card, passport, residence permit or residence permit). A driving license is not considered an official ID and therefore cannot be used as a document for an online application to open an account.
The applicant must provide proof of address less than one year old, such as a tax notice, a water or electricity/mobile phone bill, a rent receipt or a certificate of accommodation for people hosted by a third party.
To open a bank account in France, you must submit your signature, recorded by the bank.
2. How to open a bank account in a branch?

The banking institution has the option of accepting or refusing to open the bank account without having to justify its decision. On the other hand, having a bank account is a right for all French residents, it is the right to an account. As such, if a bank refuses to open an account for a person, the latter may appeal to the Banque de France, which will then mandate a banking institution to open a bank account for this customer.
In the event of agreement, the subscriber must sign the account agreement in a branch.
SG does not impose a minimum amount to be paid to open a bank account.
3. What is the Cashback offer?
SG Cashback* is a rewards program that allows our customers to benefit from Refunds when they make a purchase from one of our partner brands. Purchases can be made online or on the app and in store at certain brands by paying with an SG card in the member's name.
As purchases are made, the Cashback kitty fills up. As soon as it reaches the sum of 20 euros. The customer can request its payment into their SG bank account or donate it to a partner association. A tax receipt for the donation will be sent by the association for this gesture.
4. How do I cancel an appointment?
In order to change an appointment, you must first cancel it and then make a new one.
To cancel your appointment, please click on "Cancel appointment" in the My Appointments section of the Help and Contacts tab in your Customer Area.
