More details

Lithium is an app that makes it easy to open, read, and manage your digital books. If you're looking for an app with all the features you need to comfortably read digital books, look no further, Lithium is a great choice.

This app has all kinds of features. First of all, Lithium can scan your device for compatible files. This means that instead of having to look for books manually, Lithium automatically finds them all and shows them in a list. To read a book, just tap on one to open it in full screen, without borders or any other distracting items.

Once you're reading a book, simply tap on the screen to show the menu bars. The menu bar on the top of the screen shows the book's title and a few settings, such as the font size, page view, and other options you can adjust to create the most comfortable reading experience for you. On the other hand, there's a progress bar on the bottom of the screen that shows your progress as you read the book. Simply swipe the bar to navigate through the book.

Not only that, but lithium also has a note-taking feature, so you can add important information, a point to remember, or anything else to the page in a note. It's a great way to expand on what's written, or help you remember information.

On top of all that, you can change the background color, choose a theme, and switch between day and night mode with this app. Check out the app Lithium, try all its options, and create the most comfortable way for you to read digital books.

What's new

• Improved support for current table-of-contents title detection when in scrolling mode.

• You can now see when other Sync devices last updated on Drive in Sync settings.

• Various other changes.

This app is fantastic! It found my books right away. Gave it four stars because of two things. First, the book details show up on the right side. When I turn pages, that information distracts me from the story. Second, no built-in dictionary. Turning pages feels smooth, except when I accidentally hit the table of contents. Taking notes is easy, and I noticed you can copy selected text for school papers, but I haven’t tried that feature yet. I really miss having a dictionary option. Whenever I need to look up a word, it pulls me out of the reading experience, almost like I'm back with a physical book. Otherwise, this app is great for reading EPUB books!

This app has been my favorite for years. I love it so much. It’s my go-to for reading. The highlighting tool gives me some trouble though. Sometimes it highlights entire pages instead of just the lines I want. That can be frustrating. Despite that, this app remains one of my top picks. I use it all the time.

I used to highlight a word and tap Search, and the app would take me right to Google Search. Lately, I faced a frustrating issue. An error message popped up: "No app found to handle web searches. Install Google or another." I still have Google installed, which made it even more annoying. This search feature means a lot to me since it helps with challenging books. Fast forward to September 5th. A big thank you for fixing the Google search function! I really appreciate it. This app remains my favorite because it's so simple to use. I'm glad I waited for the fix because it truly has everything I need for my reading journey.

I don’t often write reviews, but this app deserves it. It’s nearly perfect for reading. It has all the features an epub reader should have. Not much else could be added, but I do have one suggestion. An in-app audiobook player accompanying the books would elevate the experience.

I've been using this app as my ebook reader on my phone for a year. The interface is simple and neat. Plenty of settings allow me to customize the book's appearance. No ads make it even better. Other apps might have more features, but I always return to this one. It just looks better and does exactly what I need. I usually skip leaving ratings, but this app truly deserves a shoutout!

This app works exceptionally well. I've used it for about a year without any issues. It remembers the pages nicely, and you can easily pick up right where you left off when reopening it. It's user-friendly and serves its purpose perfectly. One suggestion would be to add an option to disable opening pictures with a click. I've accidentally clicked on images when trying to turn the page more times than I can count. Not a huge problem, though!

My favorite EPUB reader for Android has been great, but it has some frustrating bugs. When I try to highlight text at the top or bottom of a page, it highlights the entire page instead. That makes it really tough to select specific sections. I also wish the contents list showed page numbers. It would be so helpful to know when each chapter starts without flipping through the pages manually.

This app strikes a wonderful balance between being user-friendly and packed with useful features. It's hands down the best Ebook reader I've come across after testing so many. A bit more customization would elevate the experience. A dark mode for the overall interface would be fantastic, not just within the reading view. Organizing books by author, series, and other epub tags would also enhance navigation. The material design is absolutely delightful, and I would love to support the developer with a donation!

Finding the right ePub reader can be a journey. Lithium had so much going for it, especially the simplicity that your mother needs. The lack of distractions from random PDFs also made it appealing. However, discovering that it doesn’t switch to a two-page view in landscape mode was a letdown. It’s frustrating when an app seems perfect but misses a key feature. If there is a hidden setting for that, it would be great to know!

Finding a solid reader for my Chromebook has been quite the journey over these past four months. Most readers I've tried have one glaring issue. They struggle with images in epub documents. Google Play Books? It just skips right over them. Others can't even open the file. But then I found Lithium. It nails image handling, which has been fantastic for my tech books. Sure, I miss some of the better library management features found in apps like Aldiko. But honestly, being able to see all those images without hassle is way more important. Plus, it helps me ditch those often bulky pdf files.
