Gameplay and Controls

The gameplay of Mad Dex Arenas is reminiscent of the classic platformer, Super Meat Boy. You take control of Dex, a small, meaty character on a mission to rescue his girlfriend through various treacherous levels. This mission is no walk in the park, as each level is filled with deadly traps such as spikes, saws, lasers, and enemy characters that require quick reflexes to overcome.

The control system is relatively simple, with only three buttons to master: run to the left, run to the right, and jump. Despite the complexity of the levels and traps, the controls are well-designed and responsive. They are refined to such an extent that any failures can't be attributed to the controls but are a result of player error.
