Tap in the yellow

In the early levels you’re going to have to get the timing of your taps just right – usually there’s a yellow panel on the floor to tell you when you have to leap. In later levels you’re going to have to look for other cues to let you know when it’s time to jump. Pay attention when you make mistakes and look for ways to rectify them the next time round.

Help the dogs

The dogs that are chasing you end up in a nice new home once you’ve finished a level. You can spend the gold you earn on adding more things for them to do in that home. Check in regularly and upgrade everything when you get the chance. You’ll also get toys which you can use to play with the dogs.

Always be ready

It’s important to pay attention to what’s coming up in the level. Keep one eye ahead of you so you know what’s coming up. Mad Dogs isn’t the sort of game you can just poke and hope in – you’re going to have to make sure you’re in the right frame of mind, because sometimes the taps are going to come thick and fast.

Watch out for dogs on leashes

Dogs on leashes lurk in the background and spring out when you’re about to get close to them. You’re going to have to leap over them, so if you spot one, make sure you’re ready to jump. They’re not always easy to see, but it’s definitely worth keeping an eye out for them otherwise you’re going to end up in tangled trouble. 

Be perfect in boss fights

Boss fights are the last chunk of the level. Here you’re going to be running away from a whole bunch of angry dogs that want nothing more than to sink their teeth in your yummy human flesh. You’re going to have to nail every obstacle if you want to get to the end, so make sure you bring your A-game.
