An Engaging Platformer with RPG Elements: Magic Rampage

Magic Rampage offers fast-paced action gameplay combined with RPG elements. Players can customize their characters with various weapons from knives to magical staves and explore numerous dungeons filled with obstacles, enemies, and secret areas.

The game features Bonus levels and Survival mode, where players can team up with NPCs, face challenging Boss battles, and compete in an exciting online Competitive Mode. This mode includes randomly generated dungeons with unique bosses and exclusive content.

Reminiscent of classic 16-bit platformers, Magic Rampage incorporates modern gameplay mechanics and supports joysticks, gamepads, and physical keyboards for precise control responsiveness.

In Campaign mode, players explore castles, swamps, and forests, battling monsters and uncovering mysteries. Competitive mode allows players to challenge others globally and aim for a spot in the Hall of Fame.

Weekly Dungeons provide fresh challenges and rewards, while Character Customization offers classes like Mage, Warrior, and Rogue. Players can customize weapons, armor, and use elemental magic based on playstyle.

Survivor Mode tests players' endurance in intense dungeon scenarios, offering rewards based on performance. The Tavern serves as a community hub for social interactions, in-game purchases, mini-games, and global networking opportunities.

The Shop features a grumpy salesman selling top-tier gear and rare runes for equipment upgrades. Players with Google Play Pass receive increased currency rewards, discounts on in-game purchases, and access to all skins.

Android TV users can enjoy local multiplayer versus mode with battles set in Campaign dungeons, emphasizing speed, strategy, and loot collection.

The Premise

After an evil Warlock invaded the King’s castle, various nightmarish fiends have now made the kingdom their sanctuary. After infiltrating the place following your unknown Master’s bidding, it’s up to you to defeat all manners of nightmares that stand in your way, finding out the truth behind the unprovoked attack on the palace.

Magic Rampage’s action starts immediately after the introductory ‘cut scene’, and beforehand, you’ll get the chance to pick your character class (each benefitting from different stats) and customize their looks however you want. Be a sword-throwing Ranger or a powerful Black Mage, the choice is entirely yours!

Challenging 2D Platformer

Adopting a cartoonish art style, Magic Rampage proves that video games aren’t just about jaw-dropping graphics. Creative level designs and end-game replayability are among the most important aspects too, and Asantee Games has done its job wonderfully here.

As a side-scrolling platformer, the game is all about jumping onto different objects to progress to the next stage, avoiding/ defeating enemies along the way. To promote variety, the game has multiple different game modes for you to test yourself in:

In terms of the storyline, there are five Chapters in total, each having up to six Dungeons for you to clear. This is the best place for you to train yourself because the Story Dungeons’ difficulty isn’t as punishing as the others, letting you familiarise yourself with the game’s mechanics.
