Malwarebytes - Mobile security & protection

So basically, if you want to use the free version of the app, you have to sign up for a trial first and then remember to cancel it. But if you don't have enough money in your account or on your credit card, you won't be able to even use the app. It seems like Malwarebytes is banking on people forgetting to cancel their trial subscriptions or encountering an "issue" when trying to cancel, so they end up charging those users who just wanted the free version. Not everyone catches this sneaky move or bothers to dispute it, so Malwarebytes ends up making money from them. If they weren't aiming to make this extra cash, they would just let users access the free tier directly instead of going through all this trouble. The fact that they don't do that speaks volumes about their intentions.

It's really annoying whenever I click the "update database" button, but nothing happens to show it's actually working. And those target links at the top of the screen haven't been working for a while—it's so frustrating! I'm not even sure if Malwarebytes is doing a good job at keeping my system secure. It sure is taking up a lot of disk space, and I can only hope it's actually worth it. But I'd definitely prefer more than just hope when it comes to my security software.
