MAPS.ME - Free offline maps

Offline navigation app is really good. It does exactly what I wanted. It doesn't use too much resources and it responds quickly. Maps and information for remote areas may not be very current, but even Google Maps isn't always updated. It would be nice to have an option for the map to rotate along with the phone's compass, even when just browsing and not actively navigating, so you can easily figure out which direction you're facing.

I always use this app when I go ATV riding or explore new places on foot. It works great on my LG G6 and is often better than Google maps. The details are impressive, and I can contribute to enhancing the experience for others in my area, just like with Google maps. Regular updates show that the development is ongoing.

I've been using this app for outdoor activities for years. It's minimalist, reliable, and efficient. I can use it with cheaper phones and it still works well. I can import kmz tracks and display them on the map, as well as create waypoints. Thanks to the developers for creating such a useful app for me in the mountains!

I used the free version of this app for a long time. Everything was great. Then they released a paid version and things started to go wrong, even after I subscribed and paid. The app used to be fantastic, but now it's slow, deleted some of my bookmarks, changed folder names, and just doesn't work properly. I waited for customer service to fix it, but they didn't seem to care. It's really disappointing because it used to be an excellent app.

This map app is the best in the world. I really appreciate all the hard work that went into creating such a high-quality product. I use it all the time, even when I'm flying and need to navigate across the country without knowing the street names below. I had to revise my review because now I'm seeing ads after I paid for the app. It has ruined the experience for me. I thought my payment was supposed to remove ads and contribute to the app's development.

The app was really great before and it helped me find my way around easily. I used to rely on it a lot. But now, due to recent updates, it doesn't work offline anymore. Without wifi, it just gets stuck on the loading screen logo. So, now it's pretty much useless for me. If I wanted an app that needed data and pushed me to turn on location services, I'd just use Google Maps instead. It's a letdown because this used to be my favorite app.

There's this really good navigation app that you can use without internet. You just need to download a map of the place you're visiting before your trip and your phone's GPS will show you where you are on the map when you arrive. I've tried it in Tokyo and Peru and it worked perfectly. Just remember to download the map beforehand when you have wifi.

Wow, that sounds so frustrating! You've been a loyal user of maps.me for so long, using it for all your journeys and adventures. Despite losing all your bookmarks in an update, you stuck with it and even encouraged others to use it. Now, when trying to download a map for your upcoming trip, you find out you're over the free limit due to previously downloaded maps. And on top of that, you're not happy with the recent updates - the auto car mode, start button covering information, and navigation tab taking up half the screen. It's just not going well for you.

Cancel the latest update. Not sure what the idea was, but now the app is close to horrible. The itinerary summary is huge and I can't see the itinerary. The start button covers half of the altitude profile. Mountain peaks show as 2... what does that mean? Using the app is frustrating now. We miss the old version, it was very good.

I found the best free app of its type. You can download entire regions and don't need constant internet access, which is impossible where I travel. It's not perfect as dirt roads are mixed with secondary roads, and some on/off ramps may not be reliable. It usually directs me to decent roads. I mostly use it as a general map for exploring regions. Data can be stored on an SD card.
