What type of game is Master Bass Angler, is it a fishing simulation?

We like to think of Master Bass Angler as an action/arcade game.  By looking at the game, you may think it is a simulation because the graphics look very realistic.  While that is true, the game play leans more toward an arcade game, with tons of action and excitement.

Every time I cast, it tells me I miss, why?

To catch a bass, you have to cast into an area where they are feeding.  Look for a white "Splash" in the water, that is where you want to cast.

I keep missing during the "Set Hook", what am I doing wrong?

It takes 2 steps to set the hook:

1) First, a yellow bar will move to the right in the SET HOOK METER.  Once the yellow bar is inside of the green area on the right, press the REEL ICON one time.

2) Next, the yellow bar will move to the left.  Once the bar is inside of the green area on the left side of the set hook meter press the REEL ICON once more.  The hook is now set!

User Guide

How do I look around and cast my lure?

To look around, slide your thumb left or right on the right side of the screen.  To cast your lure, swipe your thumb UP on the right side of the screen.

I see splashes in the water, but how do I cast out to them?

Pressing the "ROD" button will change your rod and allow you to cast at different distances. You'll know when to cast when you see a yellow highlight over the splash and the pointer bounces up and down.  When you are ready, swipe your right thumb from the bottom of the screen to the top (swipe UP!)

How do I use the Electronics (Fish Finder)?

Each Electronics upgrade increases the chance of finding bigger fish in your area, and there isn't anything you need to do to make it work (other than upgrading it).  As you upgrade your Electronics, you will see more BIG SPLASHES, which indicate bigger fish.  Cast into the BIG SPLASHES to target bigger fish.
