Transform your device with the Material Notification Shade app ✨

This application brings the features from Android Oreo to your notification center, alongside numerous customization options that will help your device shine.

This serves as an alternative to your default notification panel. The app utilizes gesture detection to present a personalized quick settings menu when you swipe down to access your notifications.

KEY FEATURES

• Stock themes: Enjoy themes inspired by Nougat and Oreo.

• Comprehensive color customization: Modify the base layout and personalize every component to suit your style.

• Enhanced notifications: View it, read it, snooze or dismiss it.

• Quick reply feature: Respond to your messages immediately upon seeing them, compatible with all devices running Android 5.0 and above.

• Auto bundling: Fed up with excessive notifications from a single app? Now they can be grouped together for easier management.

• Notification card themes: Inspired by Android 8.0 Oreo.

- Light: Your standard notifications

- Colored: Uses the notification's own color as the background for the card, ensuring contrast where necessary.

- Dark: Unify all notifications against a pure black backdrop, ideal for AMOLED displays.

Quick settings panel

- Select distinct colors for the background or foreground (icons) of the quick settings panel.

- Adjust the brightness slider color.

- Set a personal profile picture to show in the shade.

- (Pro) Customize the quick settings grid layout (such as the number of columns and rows).

Root access is optional

As this app does not modify any system components, its capabilities within the quick settings area may be limited (it cannot toggle mobile data, location services, etc., hence it redirects you to the settings page). However, granting it root access allows control over these settings.

Enjoy a tailor-made notifications panel on your device that’s both easy to use and customizable.

If you're looking for the best notification shade replacement app, "Power Shade" stands out. It offers a customizable experience and mimics the stock Android look closely. You can tweak colors, icons, and even add quick settings. Another great option is "Notific," which focuses on simplicity while providing customization features. Both apps have paid versions that unlock extra capabilities. They bring that classic Android 5/6.0 feel back, perfect for anyone wanting nostalgia in their notifications.

Hey, developer! The app shows 0 percent battery when it’s closed from the background. Once I open it up in the background, it displays the correct percentage. Also, could you add a slider feature to expand the notification bar like the POWER SHADE app? It would be great to connect the eye protection mode with the night light option in the bar. Lastly, the do not disturb feature isn’t working from the notification bar. I hope you can address these issues soon. Thanks!

Everything is working well. One problem stands out. When I tap the upper corners of the screen, the notifications slide down. This gets annoying during games when I need to tap in that area. The notifications don’t show up when the screen is locked. Not sure if this should happen or if a restriction is in place. Please look into these issues.

Everything's working well except for one thing. When I tap the mobile data icon, it straightaway takes me to the mobile data settings. I need help with that. Please look into this issue as soon as possible. Thanks!

The app has a lot of potential, but it really disappoints me. There’s a bug when I try to switch on my mobile data. The WiFi icon behaves strangely. The screen recorder has issues too. And the pop-up that appears when I turn on airplane mode is just frustrating. If these problems get fixed, the app would be fantastic.

The "remove on full screen" feature just doesn't cut it. It gets really frustrating when tapping the top of the screen brings it back. Why not make it so it only pops up with a swipe down? That would make things a lot smoother and way less annoying.

The light works great, but there are a couple of issues. First off, it needs root access to function at its best. Without that, it doesn't deliver the full experience. Then there's the problem with Twitter notifications. They don't open directly unless the app is already running. You have to tap the notification group first to get into Twitter, and only then can you see the individual tweets when tapping on them. Additionally, in the Your Phone App, notifications show up styled as if they come from the app itself instead of how they should normally appear.

Hey everyone, you should definitely give your app a spin on an LG phone. There’s this setting where I tap a button to bring up the drop-down notifications. It’s found in Settings under Display, then Home touch buttons, and you can tweak the button combination there. When I use that feature, Android shows the OLD notifications frame, and it overlaps with the one from Material Notification Shade. On top of that, I’m using Nova Launcher. It lets me pull down notifications by swiping from the MIDDLE of the screen. Guess what? It brings up the OLD notification frame again. It feels off because there really should be just ONE notification frame. Material hasn’t sorted that out yet.

The system UI gives a notification about the app showing on top. It’s clear that’s the reason for downloading the app. In Pie, there’s no way to turn this off, which makes the app frustrating compared to the default. If they fix this issue, I’d definitely download it again because it has great features!
