Ugh, HBO Max is such a pain to use sometimes. Like, it's crazy expensive and I'll be all settled in to watch something on TV, and then suddenly the sound cuts out or gets all weirdly quiet, or starts making staticky noises. And the only way to fix it is to close the app, wait a bit, and then open it again to see if it's working properly. I've had to do that like 5 times just today! None of the other streaming apps give me this trouble - Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, Starz, they all work just fine. HBO Max really needs to lower their prices until they sort out these issues because honestly, it's starting to get on my nerves big time.

Oh man, this app I've been using is a real headache. It's so poorly designed, especially for Android phone or Android TV users. There's no easy way to just turn off subtitles for everything at once. And when I reached out for help, the support team just dodged the issue and didn't want to fix it. It's frustrating because every time I watch something, I have to manually switch off the subtitles. And don't even get me started on trying to watch sports on this thing. The interface is a mess. They don't categorize the different sports, so you have to search through everything just to find what you're looking for. It's like they make it harder than it needs to be!

I used to really enjoy the HBO content and classic movies like those on TCM that the previous app offered. The quality was top-notch, focusing on the art of television and film. However, the newer content on the app has not been up to par, with a noticeable decrease in overall quality. The new app itself is riddled with bugs and technical issues. When using it, you can actually see lines of code on the screen, which is definitely not supposed to happen. The subtitles are all over the place, not displaying properly or consistently. Streaming videos, especially when casting them to another device, is slow and laggy. The video quality is often poor, taking a while to load, and sometimes even starting at the wrong point in the movie or episode you want to watch. Even basic features, like the 10-second rewind button, don't function correctly. Overall, it's a major letdown given how much I enjoyed the content and experience with the previous app.

This streaming app is just not up to par. I mean, come on, there are other services that have been streaming smoothly for years without all these issues. It's like the very first YouTube app from way back in 2007 provided a better and more dependable experience than this one does now. And get this, when you're watching a video full screen and try to rotate your phone, suddenly the screen goes black. You have to pause the video and start it over just to see the picture again. Seriously, do the folks at Max even know how to do quality assurance testing?

Oh, I got the fancy high-definition version of this app. Let me tell you, the picture and sound are just top-notch and totally bring my audio/video setup to a whole new level! And hey, besides the awesome picture quality, this thing called "Max" has tons of shows to pick from in all sorts of different topics. It's like a one-stop shop for all my viewing needs. What's cool is that Max even has shows from other independent streaming services - it's like having everything all in one place. Seriously, it's a no-brainer to go with this streaming service. The value you get is just amazing.

So basically, sometimes when I'm watching something on MAX, the sound gets delayed. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's like a little annoyance that pops up once in a while. To fix it, all I have to do is go back about 20 seconds in the show and then the sound syncs up properly. I've tried everything – restarting the app, rebooting my TV, even reinstalling the app, but nothing seems to work. It's just this one small problem that only occurs with MAX. All the other streaming services I use like Netflix, Disney, Hulu, and Amazon work perfectly fine without any sound delay issues, so I know it's not my TV acting up.

This update is pretty cool compared to the old version. There are some good things and bad things about it. Among the good stuff: 1) it runs more smoothly now, which is awesome; 2) the new look is really clean and simple; 3) there's fresh content and better ways things are sorted. But, on the downside: 4) You can't adjust the subtitles like you used to, even though the app says you can; 5) When you try to check your phone notifications while using the app, it gets all wonky - the notification shows up but then just sticks there, making the picture smaller.

Yeah, it's not perfect. The app has some awesome shows, but the way it's set up can be frustrating. Sometimes it kicks me out of an episode and starts the next one on its own, without me doing anything. Other streaming services usually pause your show and save your progress if you rewatch an episode or need to stop watching, but this one just starts from the end of the episode instead of where you left off, which can be annoying.

Oh, I absolutely enjoy Max's content! However, the app can be quite temperamental. Despite having it positioned right on top of my WiFi signal, it still stutters, freezes, and even crashes while streaming a show. I think the app itself is to blame for these issues, not the content. I'm such a fan of their shows that I actually subscribe to the app for a few months, catch up on all my favorite series, and then unsubscribe again. I really hope they've fixed those problems by now. I deducted one star from my rating because the sound and video always seem to be out of sync. It's a real challenge trying to get them to match up!

The video quality is awesome, but unfortunately the audio isn't up to par. I haven't faced this problem with any other app. HBO really needs to crank up the volume because even though my sound is on high on both my phone and TV, everything still sounds low. There's no depth to the sound, no bass at all. Sometimes I have to resort to turning on subtitles just to catch what's being said. It's gotten to the point where I've had to stop watching some movies at work because I just can't hear properly. I love using this app a lot, so it's frustrating that the audio quality alone hinders my enjoyment quite a bit.
