1. Combining Objects

The game puts a very unique twist in puzzle games because it does not follow the usual board-clearing mechanic but instead gives you the freedom to combine objects as you wish. Each level has a set of objectives that you need to meet in order to complete the level. Once you meet those objectives, then you can have fun with combining other things to gain more points. You are also not obliged to keep combining objects if you have already met the goals. Explore the different combinations and see what you can come up with.

2. Using The Dragons

Since the premise of the game is that the magic of dragons will save the world, it is only safe to assume that combining dragons is a good thing. Hatch dragon eggs whenever you can by combining three of them. Dragons provide different items that can also be combined to produce things that you will need in the game. Keep combining dragons to get better items as a result.

3. The Dead Lands

When you have been playing the game for a while, you will notice some grey areas in the map. These areas are dead and the items on them cannot be moved until the land is healed. Healing the land is pretty easy. You just need to combine objects and parts of the dead lands will be healed. The only down side is that you won’t be able to predict which parts will be healed so you will need to keep combining until you get the parts that you want.

4. Building Up Your Camp

At this point, you are probably wondering what you’re supposed to do with the items that you get from completing levels. The answer to that is you can use them on your camp. The camp is your headquarters. The place needs a bit of fixing when you first get it but by using the items that you get from the different levels, you can build it up to look the way you want it to. You can also expand the size of your camp by using dragon eggs to drive away the Evil Fog in the surrounding areas. The camp doesn’t really have a purpose but it is a nice addition to the game. It gives the game a bit of town-building and customization on top of everything else.

Disabling chain reactions

When you start the game, automatic mergers are activated. Indeed, whether it is intended or not, some mergers can cause chain reactions. This is the case when an element created by fusion is stuck to at least two other versions of this element already present. This results in a chain reaction that makes for a nice combo. Unfortunately, this uncontrolled combo is not good for your optimisation as you have to give priority to the mergers of 5 elements!

We therefore advise you to deactivate the chain reactions option. You can find it in the settings bar at the bottom left. The combos are nice to see but break your calculations unnecessarily.

Save time with double tap

Touching an item to collecttwice quickly will automatically send a dragon to do so. No need to pick-and-drag a dragon across the map. A manoeuvre that can be tricky, especially if you have big fingers that lack precision.

Prioritise crops

Dragons may be very cute creatures, but unfortunately they are not the smartest. They are servile and automatically harvest resources. However, they do this randomly, without giving priority to the resources with the highest profitability level. You can let them do this if you are lazy, but if you want to optimise, guide them!

Beyond the levels, dragons harvest different types of resources depending on the harvesting boxes. Identify what you need most to plan your harvests and get the resources you want.

A level 4 flower of life will give much more than a level 2 flower of life.

In your camp, your dragons can also build or attack Zomblins. Depending on your mood, mobilise your dragons for the activity that seems most profitable.

How to best organise the map

As only similar elements merge, put all elements of the same family in the same part of your map. Flowers with flowers, bones with bones, eggs with eggs, etc.

Giving life to dead land
