Metal Detector - Detects metal objects

The Metal Detector is an Android application designed to detect the presence of metal nearby by measuring the magnetic field value using the magnetic sensor built into your mobile device. The app displays the magnetic field level in μT (microtesla), with the natural EMF level in nature being around 49 μT or 490 mG (milligauss); where 1 μT equals 10 mG. When metal is detected nearby, the magnetic field value increases.

This tool allows users to identify any metal object in the vicinity as all metals emit a measurable magnetic field strength.

To use the Metal Detector, simply launch the app on your mobile device and move it around. As you do so, you will notice the magnetic field level displayed on the screen continually fluctuating. Colorful lines depict the three dimensions, while the numbers at the top indicate the EMF value. The chart will escalate, accompanied by vibrations and sounds from the device to alert you that metal is in close proximity. Users can adjust the sensitivity of vibration and sound effects in the settings.

The Metal Detector can be used to locate electrical wires within walls (similar to a stud finder), iron pipes underground, or for fun, pretend it's a ghost detector to play pranks! Additionally, the magnetometer can serve as a scanner to uncover hidden devices such as cameras, microphones, or voice recorders.

This app is available in the default language set on your phone and now supports Russian, Spanish, and Indonesian languages. It is also accessible in Portuguese, Turkish, and French, with recent additions of Arabic and Farsi versions.

For users seeking enhanced features, there is a pro version available within the application menu.

The accuracy of this tool relies on the sensor within your mobile device. Note that electronic equipment can interfere with the magnetic sensor due to electromagnetic waves.

Metal Detector may not be able to detect non-ferrous materials like gold, silver, and copper coins, as they lack a magnetic field. However, you might stumble upon a metal box containing hidden treasures!
