Queries for personal data and files are redirected and attended to by the administration bodies responsible for these data so that the citizen folder generally acts as a mere intermediary.
The details of the limited data that is stored in the folder to improve the user experience and offer a better service are included in the privacy policy.
2.I have an appointment coming up but it doesn't appear on My Calendar, why is this happening?
The events on the My Citizen Folder agenda are updated automatically almost every day. However, there is the possibility of manually refreshing a limited number of times a day.
If the information is not updated when you perform this manual refresh, the last query that was made will appear. For this reason, a warning icon may appear indicating the existence of events that have not been updated correctly.
Also, keep in mind that the event may correspond to an entity that is not yet integrated into My Citizen Folder. If this is the case, you must contact the corresponding administration directly.
3.How do I submit a document or request?
Make requests through the General Electronic Registry of the AGE (REC), check your applications submitted in one public administration destined for another and know their status.
4.What files do I have open?
Consult the files that you have registered with the different organizations. You can access both the files related to the General State Administration and those of the participating Autonomous Communities.
Key features and functionalities of the Mi Carpeta Ciudadana app include:
Home: This section displays alerts, the count of pending electronic notifications, and provides access to the General Point for Notifications (DEHú) for reference purposes. It offers i) a customizable summary of your personal status with preferred data, notifications overview, and scheduled appointments, as well as ii) direct links to recently accessed services and documents.
Calendar: Users can view alerts for pending administrative processes (e.g., ID renewals, electronic certificates, passports, driving licenses, MoTs) and past appointments with various government entities, such as the issuance of official documents by the General-Directorate of Police (National Identification Document, Passport, Foreigner Identification Document), immigration appointments, and registration assistance offices for ministries, government delegations, civil registries, and more.
Mi Carpeta provides access to:
- My Data: Access personal information from state, regional, and local authorities, including birth certificates, social benefits (parental, retirement, disability allowance, etc.), property details, driving license points, vehicle registrations, academic credentials, criminal records, family and disability status, residency details, dependency level, work history, and more. Users can download approved data in PDF or QR format to their device wallet.
- My Documents: Directly retrieve all previously generated supporting documents available in the "My Data" section. These documents can be shared via a link and deleted at any time.
- My Files: Monitor ongoing cases with diverse Public Administrations (currently linked to most agencies of the General State Administration, 11 Autonomous Communities, and multiple local entities).
- Services: Register at the General Electronic Registry, verify power of attorney status, and explore other public apps through the app search feature.
- Application Settings: Personalize preferences, email and mobile phone settings, and alert frequencies (e.g., 15 days before, monthly reminders) for each calendar. Secure access to Carpeta Ciudadana is granted using Cl@ve platform details, which are widely used for digital services offered by Spanish public administrations.
