Installing and Setting Up Microsoft Edge on Android

To get started, download Microsoft Edge for Android from the Google Play Store and install it on your Android smartphone.

When you first launch the app, you're asked to sign in to your Microsoft account. This is how you can share your favorites, passwords, browsing history, and settings between devices.

If you already have a Microsoft account synced to your device, the Edge browser app will ask if you want to sign in to that account. If you do, tap "Sign in as." If you don't, tap "Sign in with Another Account."

If you don't want to sign in to a Microsoft account at all, tap "Skip."

Microsoft Edge

If you sign in, you're asked if you want to sync your passwords across devices. If you want to sync, tap "Verify." Tap "Not Now" if you want to skip this process.

Microsoft Edge

The app asks you to confirm whether you want to share data about yourself with Microsoft for a personalized browsing experience. Tap "OK" to share or "Not Now" to refuse permission.

Microsoft Edge

Edge will also request permission to share your usage data for extra personalization. The same as before, tap "OK" to confirm or "Not Now" to deny your permission.

Microsoft Edge

The Edge browser window loads, but you have to confirm a few extra settings at this point. If you use Edge on another device, you'll be asked if you want to sync the settings and information from your PC.

To sync all available settings, tap "Sync Now." If you want to keep your browser on Android independent of your PC, tap "No, Thanks."

If you want to see which settings will be synced before you decide, tap "Sync Settings."

Basically, Microsoft Edge is a fast and user-friendly browser that works well with other Microsoft products. It's great for people who use Microsoft applications and services. However, its privacy settings are not as good as FireFox, and it doesn't have many extensions. But in today's world, privacy seems like a lost cause anyway.

I had an awesome experience! I decided to give it a try and ended up loving it so much that it became my new go-to browser. The ability to add extensions to it is such a great feature. With the ad blocker extension activated, annoying ads are now a thing of the past. It runs really smoothly. The tab layout was different from what I was used to, but now I actually like it. This is definitely one of the best mobile browsers I've ever tried. The built-in desktop compatibility is a nice addition, even though its functionality is a bit limited.

So, Edge used to be a pretty good browser until the AI came along. Now, it keeps opening new web pages without me even wanting it to do that, especially when I already have a few tabs open. And now, the tabs are really slow to respond if I try to close or rearrange them. I'm considering uninstalling the latest version or just getting rid of it altogether. Update: Yeah, I'm seriously thinking about getting rid of this browser. I didn't even bother installing it on my new phone.

Wow, using the Microsoft system can be quite complex at first! It's like unraveling the mysteries of each component and finding the right adjustments to make everything work harmoniously, just like the alignment of planets and stars in astrology. With each part fitting into place perfectly, it all comes together smoothly. I really appreciate the system and managed to grasp it without any external assistance. Now, I'm excited to elevate my skills with some technical support to reach even greater heights. Thanks a lot, and may you be blessed!

I reckon this browser works really well for just, you know, surfing the net. But, I do feel there are some areas that could use a bit of a touch-up like the ad blocker and maybe throwing in some extensions would be cool. One thing that would be super handy is background play - it's so annoying when a video stops playing as soon as you switch tabs or close the app. Overall though, it's a decent browser, no doubt about that.

So, there's this app that's really not good at all. It keeps crashing when I try to download something or go to the downloads part.. Not sure why it's acting like that. It's super slow and keeps messing up, especially when I compare it with Chrome, Opera, and Firefox. Even when I want to use the flow feature to check out files or links from my computer, the app just crashes. All in all, I wouldn't suggest using this browser. It's better to do yourself a favor and get apps like Chrome or Firefox instead. They work much better, are more reliable, and definitely worth your time.

I've been using Chrome for a long time. Recently, I started using Edge at work and found the workspaces, collections, and group tabs features to be really great. So, I decided to download it on my home PC and ended up loving it there too. Now, I've also downloaded it on my phone, and I have to say that Edge is way better than Chrome for mobile use. The Edge app feels like it was specifically designed with phone usability in mind, unlike Chrome. It has better menus, features that are easier to access, common buttons that are simpler to use, and more customization options. All in all, Edge is much better for mobile use compared to Chrome.
