difficulty
Difficulty can be selected at the beginning, and the characteristics of the map vary depending on the difficulty.
easy
Grassland background map. This mode did not exist in the very early days of Mine Survival, but was created by lowering the difficulty level from Normal Mode to lower the barrier to entry during large-scale updates. Thanks to this, the map size has become smaller, and food, water, and resources are all abundant.
When you first start out, there are 2-4 wooden traps placed near the player spawn area . It is recommended that you take them with you as they are useful for defending against enemies and hunting.
The nights are shorter than in other difficulties, and zombies do not appear at all. Instead, monsters called 'Experimental Rats' and 'Experimental Moles' (day 5) appear from the 2nd day. Unlike zombies that had various abilities such as Stony and Bomber, they can only attack normally, so they are easy to deal with, and they are smaller than zombies, so they are less intimidating. However, you must not let your guard down because their attack speed is the fastest among all night-spawn monsters. Also, since they only become stronger later, they continue to get stronger, so at around 100×a, they reach a level where base defense is impossible without an attack power debuff tower.
Unlike the higher-level modes that are overflowing with preemptive maps, the general preemptive maps on the map are just baby spiders and three natives. Ghosts, boss monsters, etc. are obviously preemptive, but the absence of wolves and giant spiders is definitely an advantage.
The boss is a buffalo. It is a monster that shares the same sound effects as a brown deer with big horns. The time limit for defeating it is 12 minutes. Since the map in Easy Mode is very small, even if you get lost because you can't see the light, you can easily find it if you wander around. Plenty of time is a bonus. It is weaker than one native, so you don't really have to worry about defeating it, and you don't have to prepare separately for the boss battle; you can easily defeat it with just the general weapons such as swords, cannons, and traps that you have collected before summoning the boss. Since it is a mode with such an easy difficulty and is merely a practice mode for Normal Mode, using a key does not consume the key or unlock a new mode, and the message 'Clear Easy Mode! Try Normal Mode~!' will appear when you use it for the first time.
normal
A grassland background map similar to Easy Mode. It can be seen as an advanced version of Easy Mode .
Unlike Easy Mode, the length of the night is increased to the same level as other modes, the preemptive mobs, wolf pups, wolves, and giant spiders appear, and the number of natives increases to 4.[3] For this reason, it requires more caution than easy mode.
The zombies that appear are Green, Gray, Bulky (from the 10th day), and Stony (from the 20th day, on days that are multiples of 5). In the beginning, a zombie (green) appeared on the first day, but with later updates, lab rats and lab moles appeared on the first day. And in the current version, just like Easy Mode, zombies do not appear on the first day.
The boss is a pirate boar. The time limit for defeating it is 10 minutes. It is not much different from the buffalo in easy mode, so it can be defeated easily. When defeated, it drops a key that unlocks hard mode.
