Beginner’s Guide

Dribbling, Passing, and Shooting

In Mini Basketball, just like with its real-life counterpart, the objective is to win matches by scoring more points than your opponent. And the way to score points is by throwing the ball through the enemy’s hoop, with the number of points awarded varying depending on the scoring player’s position when throwing the ball—when scoring from anywhere within the three-point line, any hoops are worth two points, and when scoring from outside the three-point line, the hoops are worth three points.

Mini Basketball

To successfully navigate to the enemy’s hoops, players will have to dribble by walking, running, and maneuvering while bouncing the ball. Additionally, to cover larger distances, players can also pass the ball to their teammates. Finally, once close enough, they can try to throw the ball at the hoop and score. In Mini Basketball, all of these actions are controlled via the on-screen virtual controls; using the joystick to move and dribble, and the buttons on the bottom right to pass, sprint, and shoot.

If you’re playing Mini Basketball on PC with BlueStacks, however, you’d be able to control the action with much more comfort by running and dribbling with the WASD keys, shooting with the F, and passing with the Spacebar. This simple control scheme is much more serviceable and precise than its touchscreen counterparts, especially since you get physical feedback when tapping your buttons. Alternatively, BlueStacks also lets you play with a gamepad, for those who want to get an authentic console gaming experience with this basketball game.

Regardless of the control scheme that you choose, moving and passing is pretty simple to grasp: You simply move the joystick to dribble, and press the button to pass the ball. Shooting, however, has more to it as it requires you to hold down the key until the slider reaches the green area in the shot gauge, and then release it to throw the ball. If done correctly, you’ll maximize your odds of scoring points, even from outside the three-point line. Nevertheless, your success here also depends heavily on the stats of the player.

That sounds great! It would be really interesting to see each player's stats and game performances, in addition to the team stats. Having a League tournament with East and West divisions leading up to the championship would be exciting. These additions would definitely make users feel more connected to their teams. Excellent suggestions!

I really like this app because the graphics are great and the mechanics work well. I enjoy being able to compete and feel confident while playing. It's also fun to collaborate with others in a different way of communicating. Plus, you can level up pretty fast starting from Level 1. The only downside is that it requires an internet connection to play. Overall, I would give it a 5-star rating.

This game is just terrible. Winning fairly is almost impossible. The opponent, usually AI, can steal easily from any direction and they are faster than you. Even if you shoot perfectly, you might still miss whether it's a dunk or a 3-point shot. Trying to steal or block the opponent doesn't work at all. It's the most frustrating game I've ever experienced.

This game is somewhat fun and has few ads. Your teammates don't defend or rebound, but your opponents do. Player ratings don't affect gameplay much and tactics are simple. It becomes tougher to win as you improve your team. Opponents will keep stealing the ball from you without giving a chance to steal back. Even with perfect shots, you'll often miss. There are many more enjoyable ways to pass time than this game.

The controls in the game feel terrible. Sometimes you can easily steal the ball and move through players effortlessly, but other times your opponent makes steals that shouldn't happen. It seems like in some games, you are destined to lose from the beginning. The shooting system has a lot of bugs; I oddly have more success when my shots are not perfectly accurate on the gauge rather than hitting the bullseye. If these problems were resolved, this game would deserve a 5-star rating, but currently, it only gets 2 stars.

Playing games is enjoyable, but my team really struggles during crucial moments. In situations where we are up against tougher opponents for higher stakes, my players tend to falter in both scoring and defending. Even our top shooter fails to make shots, even when the opportunity is ideal. It's frustrating to see the shortest player on the opposing team effortlessly dunk over our tallest player repeatedly. Additionally, whenever I try to block a shot, the opponent skillfully maneuvers around me in mid-air to avoid being blocked.

Games are really short, no detailed statistics, and all you do is press buttons quickly without much thinking. The opposing team keeps fouling you without consequences when you try to score. Even when you make a perfect shot, it still misses, especially during free throws. The game requires significant improvements. I'll be uninstalling it less than two weeks after downloading as it lacks motivation to continue playing.

I really like this game. It's very detailed and fair compared to other basketball games. There are only ads if you choose to watch them for coins or items. The game feels so realistic, like I'm actually playing a real basketball game! You should definitely give it a try.

Playing this game is enjoyable but it could be improved. I'm at level 15 and there are some issues that need fixing. It's frustrating because my shooting accuracy for three-pointers is much better than for making dunks, even on breakaways where I get a perfect shot release. The foul calls are so unpredictable that it feels like they shouldn't even be in the game. Rebounding and passing accurately is challenging. Also, the AI sometimes acts strangely, like shooting a full-court shot by mistake after stealing the ball. Despite these flaws, it's a fun way to pass the time.

Mini Basketball is a fun game for basketball fans. It's enjoyable to upgrade your team and play with new players. But after a month, it becomes very pay-to-win and hard to progress without purchasing packs. The game can be laggy, especially during online matches, causing frustration for both teams. Despite these downsides, it offers a fun experience overall.
