While the chances of a hole in 1 are usually high in most real-life mini golf courses, given the shorter holes, holes in Mini Golf King are short but still make it improbable for even experts to sink a hole-in-one. Mini golf in real life also only has players using a putter whereas Mini Golf King will have you use a set of golf clubs much like golf. Hazards and out-of-bounds are also abundant in Mini Golf King, so a really bad stroke or misfortune can impact your performance. In fact, with a usual 2 to 4 strokes per hole in Mini Golf King, a bad shot any time in a match will make it hard for you to catch up to your opponent and vice versa.

The presence of gems scattered across every hole or level in Mini Golf King goes beyond aesthetic enhancements as there is significance in earning as many of them as possible at every turn. Mini Golf King provides players with a wide range of clubs and gears to collect and upgrade and each one carries unique perks with them as well, save for the starting ones.

Players earn different chests from winning a match as well as from different events. Chests take time to unlock depending on their rarity, but each one holds some coins as well as gear cards needed to perform upgrades on your gears. As can be expected, a higher level of upgrades will require more duplicate cards and cost more coins, which is why you have to be a little selective about the gears you choose to upgrade.

Stats do matter most especially power. However, gloves and balls have added perks attached to them that can increase as their upgrade level increases. Likewise, there is the delimiting factor to consider relative to all gears save for the tees. Each one, as we mentioned earlier, can be used only on specific stages and stages beyond that. For example, the Yin and Yang Driver may be your best driver in the bag but it can only be used on stage 4 or higher. In this sense, you may want to invest in other drivers that you have first, especially ones that you can use on the stages you currently spend more games on.

The tees are unique in the sense that they cannot be upgraded. Tees are consumable as well so if you happen to be lucky enough to obtain some high-grade ones, we recommend saving them for emergencies. Given that you can change equipment at every turn, you can always just consider using the Beginner’s Tee for most of your adventure and shift to one with the needed perks when you feel the need to.

Likewise, consider what is at stake whenever you decide to use consumable tees. If you have already unlocked stage 4 and still wish to dabble in stages 1 or 2, then you should probably do so without consuming your special tees.

4. Strokes Over Gems

Planning each stroke with obtaining as many gems as possible should soon become an instinctive aspect of your planning. However, the allure of gems on the golf course should not lead to you risking the shot itself. The huge red gem, which grants you an instant 200 gem points, almost always works like a magnet that attracts your aim, and while there are often ways to grab one while managing to execute a superb or at least a decent shot, some holes, especially in latter stages, attach huge risks associated with those huge gems.

It is important to keep in mind that Mini Golf King favors fewer strokes over an abundance of gems and while you can get to keep the gems you hoarded even if you lose the match, the ultimate goal is to, of course, come out as a winner. Even if you manage to nab and accumulate over a thousand gem points over your opponent, you will lose the match if they sink the hole with just 1 less number of strokes.

In this regard as well, a more advanced approach is to still focus on strokes, with a bit of focus on increasing the number of strokes your opponent needs to make. As we mentioned earlier, Mini Golf King makes it fun and worth your while to intentionally hit your opponent’s ball. Although this should also be an integral part of your usual strategy, always be mindful of the risks versus rewards aspect of this tactic.
