Why do I need to provide my phone number in my UpOne account?
Providing your phone number is essential for several reasons related to the security and management of your account. Here are the main reasons:
1. Secure online payments
When you make payments with your UpOne card, a confirmation message is sent to your phone. This procedure ensures that it is you who is carrying out the transaction, adding an additional layer of security to your online payments.
2. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
To enhance the security of your account, UpOne uses multi-factor authentication. This means that for sensitive actions like logging in to your account or changing your settings, a verification code is sent to your phone. This measure significantly reduces the risk of fraud and unauthorized access.
What happens if I don't provide my phone number?
Not providing your phone number limits online purchases. You won't be able to benefit from SMS confirmation for your payments, nor will you be able to use multi-factor authentication, which exposes your account to increased risks of fraud and hacking.
Can I change my phone number after registering it?
Yes, you can contact support via chat from your UpOne account or by email at support@up-one.up.coop. A verification process will be performed to confirm your new information and maintain the security of your account.
What should I do if I don't receive confirmation messages?
If you don't receive confirmation messages, check that your phone number is correctly registered in your account. If the problem persists, contact UpOne customer service for assistance.
How do I change my mailing address?
If you have already ordered your physical card, you do not need to change your address in your UpOne account.
Your mailing address is only required when ordering a physical UpOne card to determine its delivery address.
Please note that once the card has been ordered, you can no longer change the mailing address.
