Moonrise Arena is an intense game developed by a pair of indie creators, featuring a nostalgic pixel art style.

This action RPG introduces players to two heroes, Alice and Godric, each possessing distinct abilities, game mechanics, and characteristics.

Their homeland has been overrun by hordes of undead creatures and demons. To reclaim their territory, they must gain strength and purge the land of these invaders.

Players can explore 20 different locations (arenas) across three levels of difficulty. Enemies emerge from randomly spawning portals on the arenas every few seconds. Each enemy showcases its unique traits, and occasionally, rare enemies with unpredictable strengths may appear, ensuring that no two sessions of Moonrise Arena are the same.

The combat system is engaging, featuring camera shake, striking visuals, health drop animations, and items flying in various directions. Both the player’s character and the enemies are fast-paced, requiring constant movement to avoid defeat.

There are numerous ways to enhance your character’s prowess. Players can choose from 8 types and 7 rarities of equipment. Armor can be equipped with slots to insert gems, and combining multiple gems of the same type produces upgraded versions. In the town, a blacksmith is available to enhance and reforge your armor, making it even more powerful.

Moonrise Arena is a 2D action RPG that puts you in control of a sorceress who is on a quest to defeat endless hordes of undead. Luckily, you have a wide range of powerful spells at your disposal.

Controllers in Moonrise Arena are very simple. There's a virtual movement stick on the left side of the screen and the action buttons on the right. You start out with five different spell buttons in addition to the normal attack button. That way, you can create spectacular synergies with which to destroy all your enemies.

When you complete a level, either because you manage to destroy all the enemies or because you've been defeated yourself, you can go to the village. Inside the village, you can find several different friendly characters that are willing to trade with you. The blacksmith, for example, lets you use the crystals you earn during the game to level up your staff. The potion seller, on the other hand, lets you acquire some of the best potions to use when you're fighting the enemies.

Moonrise Arena is an excellent 2D action and role-playing game that includes a charming retro-pixel graphic section. The game also offers a huge variety, more than 20 different settings, three different difficulty modes, and a good handful of spells that you can use to destroy all your enemies.
