Getting started is a simple three-step process!

1. Download the app or visit the MySchoolBucks homepage and click on “Sign Up for Free”.

2. Create a user profile with your email address, establish a password, and set up your security questions.

3. Add a Student to your account using the student’s name, date of birth, and/or student ID number. (Some schools and districts may require either the student’s date of birth or student ID number.)

1. How can I obtain a refund?

Payments placed through MySchoolBucks are quickly expedited to your school’s bank for deposit. All funds are housed by your school’s district office. We ask that you work directly with the school district office’s food service department to obtain a refund.

2. Is there a fee associated with using MySchoolBucks?

HPS may charge a Program Fee in connection with the Services and/or transactions processed through the Services. If a Program Fee is charged, it will be displayed onscreen before you complete the payment transaction. By completing the transaction, you are agreeing to pay the Program Fee to HPS. The school or school district may remit the Program Fee to HPS.  MySchoolBucks is not the only option to make payments to your school. To learn more about alternative free options for adding funds to student accounts, please contact your school or school district.

3. How do I transfer funds between students?

All of the student meal accounts are housed by your student’s school. To transfer funds between students, please contact the cafeteria manager at your student’s school to request a transfer of funds. If both students attend different schools please reach out to your school district’s food services department for assistance.

4. Will I be able to pay for meals and/or school items immediately after I create an account?

Yes, you will be all set and ready to go after you sign up.

5. What happens if my student changes schools?

You can continue using your MySchoolBucks account as long as your new school uses MySchoolBucks!

If you are changing schools within the same school district, MySchoolBucks is automatically updated with your student’s enrollment information.

If your student is attending a new school in a different district, click the words “School District” at the top of your MySchoolBucks account to add a new school district to your profile. MySchoolBucks.com will provide a list of available school districts during the signup process. Please also confirm that your AutoPay settings have been disabled for the old school. Once your student is active in the new school district you will need to re-enable AutoPay.

6. Will funds be available for use immediately after making a payment?

Payments can take up to 24 hours to post to student accounts. If you do not see your payment reflecting after 24 hours please reach out to your student’s school cafeteria manager for additional information.

7. How do I obtain my student’s lunch number or student ID number?

Please contact the cafeteria manager at your student’s school to request your student’s ID or PIN number. MySchoolBucks customer support does not have access to that information.

Notes on Permissions:

· Camera permissions are necessary for parents to capture a photo of their student.

· Storage permissions are required to save student photos and crash log data.

· Phone and SMS permissions are essential for the username/password recovery through SMS process.

    The company used to charge $2.75 for adding money to my son's school lunch account, which was okay. However, they have now added a $2.50 Fall Program Fee without giving any explanation about its purpose or if it will be charged regularly. Moreover, I am not receiving balance notifications as expected, resulting in extra fees and reduced service. It is unreasonable to overcharge customers, so I will go back to making payments the traditional way.

    Well, the system does what it's supposed to, but it feels a bit outdated compared to what we're used to nowadays. You can't see payment history beyond 30 days which seems a bit off considering kids spend years in school. Generating reports isn't an option either. The fees per transaction are too high, and there's no way to transfer funds between siblings at the same school. The user interface is a bit wonky with improperly sized fields, and the store feature takes up too much space without being very useful.

    I am very upset with the recent app update. It used to work perfectly before. Now, every time I log in, I'm required to remember my password. The whole point of having the app is to avoid this inconvenience. I have been attempting to add funds to my child's account for several days. Initially, I couldn't even log in, and now I keep encountering error messages when I try to make a payment. How can my child eat if I can't do this? I've tried using two different cards, both of which have sufficient funds. This situation is absolutely absurd.

    I enjoy using this app for a few reasons. First off, it's super user-friendly. My high school son is the one benefiting from it. Next, you have the option to receive alerts informing you when your funds are running low. It's important to note that it might take a day or two for the school to reflect the money in your account. This means you won't be able to use the funds on the same day you deposit the money. Additionally, parents can easily track what our kids are having for lunch. Lastly, we can also keep an eye on how much they are spending.

    It's really convenient to check my lunch account balance and add money. The process is straightforward and easy to follow. I would have to be pretty clueless to not figure it out!

    I am so frustrated! There is this service that added a 14% fee when I tried to put lunch money in my son's account. Our sales tax is only 6.5%, which means their "fee" is more than double our tax rate. This whole thing seems like a scam, with schools possibly getting kickbacks. Update: as of May 13, 2024, the fee has increased to a whopping 27.5%! It's outrageous. Adding just $10 to my son's account now costs $12.75. I really wish this company goes under.
